Q:Whats the best suspension for a 71 charger?
I was building resto rod corvettes, 54 to 67 models. all were fitted with handling suspension and designed to corner as well as get good traction straight line. we used parts from street and performance an awsome company you can check them out on line. we used fully adjustable coil over shocks, 3 link rear super size sway bars, springs were all ultra light weight non steel materials. the steering was tight ratio rack and pinion power. we also purchased from jim meyer racing much of our stuff. great guys by the way.
Q:Its for a 69 truck. An airbag system with no c notched frame, or a coil over. What will be the height difference after installing parts. What are the price difference. I want to use it as a daily driver. It has a four speed manual tranny. What type of rear end gears are good economy choice.it is 69 chevrolet truck with a rebuilt 350 sb , it has a four barrel carb.
confident, 2.60 will mathematically provide help to realize a a strategies better proper velocity assuming you at the instant are not limited for another reason. Your commerce off would be that your acceleration will go through. i don't think of the adaptation between a 2.eighty and a 2.60 supply you that lots benefit in proper velocity.
Q:what is the difference between suspense and suspension? in what situation do you use them?
Suspense --The state or quality of being undecided, uncertain, or doubtful. --Pleasurable excitement and anticipation regarding an outcome, such as the ending of a mystery novel. --Anxiety or apprehension resulting from an uncertain, undecided, or mysterious situation. Suspension -- a. A temporary abrogation or cessation, as of a law or rule. b. A temporary debarment, as from school or a privilege, especially as a punishment. c. A postponement, as of a judgment, opinion, or decision. --Chemistry A system in which microscopically visible particles are dispersed throughout a less dense liquid or gas from which they are easily filtered but not easily settled because of system viscocity or molecular interactions. --Music a. The prolongation of one or more tones of a chord into a following chord to create a temporary dissonance. -- A device from which a mechanical part is suspended. --The system of springs and other devices that insulates the chassis of a vehicle from shocks transmitted through the wheels.
Q:My Lincoln 1994 Continental has flunked inspection twice and no one can fix it so it passes.
Shock absorbers, among other things. I had a Lincoln that also had problems with them (some of the models have an air shock problem that routinely occurs). Try going to Midas Muffler. There might also be a way of replacing the air shocks with standard shocks, which would be less expensive.
Q:What should one look for in suspension problems and which are the common problems with car suspensions? How often should one replace the parts and what are the most costly suspension part replacements?
you realy dont service suspension parts .you keep them clean and free from dirt but have them replaced if needed.auto shop will advise you if they need replaced broken spring etc etc etc. ok
Q:So I‘ve always done a bunch of my own repairs. I‘m doing the front wheel bearings (the assemblies with new rotors and brake pads) on my 2004 Explorer and I just had someone tell me that I‘m supposed to get a front end alignment when I do bearings. I‘ve never gotten an alignment after doing bearings in the past. Is an alignment needed?
Lower pressure - 70 PSI is unacceptable, and it's only a matter of time before the tire explodes.
Q:About a year ago I was hit in the left rear side of my car. It was repaired and everything seemed normal. Then recently I back into a ditch and a buddy pulled me out (at an angle) with his truck. I‘m not sure which of these things cause the problem, but there is about an inch less space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the fender on the left side than the right. Structurally, everything seems normal. The car isn‘t sitting crooked, (I checked with a level) and to my knowledge the alignment is correct because the car doesn‘t pull to one side. I just noticed this while I was trying to measure out what size wheels would fit on my car and now I‘m not sure if anything will. What could this be? I‘m hoping its something simple like a bad shock and not a warped frame.
My initial response would be that somewhere along the line your frame or some part of your suspension system got tweaked out of alignment. It could have been the result of the original accident and was not repaired properly or when your buddy pulled you out of the ditch if he attached directly to some part of your suspension it could have done some damage. Take the vehicle to a body and frame shop and have them look it over to determine what has actually taken place. If something has shifted, that means something is not working properly and it could cause much more damage than you could imagine. Good luck.
Q:Ok im confused, like if you get reported and Y!A suspends you,do you only lose it for like 2 months or is it gone?
if Y!/A suspend you,you can appeal it,Odds are you won't win,it's a rare to win ann apeal with Y!/A,once you lose,it's gone forever.
Q:And thus eliminate changing a flat tire?
this could be interesting as a theoretical question, but practically it is irrelevant we don't need pneumatic tires, they are just the best choice given all the cost and functional paramaters the real question is, can today's suspension tecnology using solid tires, provide a more economically competitive, more reliable, more comfortable ride flat tires are a failure mode fancy suspension technology also has failure modes if you could cut failures in half, for double the cost, would it be worth it? what if you could cut failures 90%, but the ride was 50% bumpier the answer is, NO, the reason we have the suspension tire systems we have is because that is the best value right now there are engineers all over the world trying to get the upper hand in car technology by coming up with something better when they get something enough better, cheaper, smoother, etc that it will help sell a car, it will be on cars in no time
Q:A pendulum clock with a brass suspensionsystem is calibrated so that its period is 1 s at 13C.If the temperature increases to 39C, byhow much does the period change in units of s?How much time does the clock gain or lose inone week in units of s?
The period of a pendulum is proportional to the square root of the length of the suspension system. Brass has a known coefficient of expansion. Use that information and the temperature change to find out the change in length of the pendulum, and thus the change in period.
