I currently have a block suspension system, but I want to change to the kind that don‘t force The axel, Starbucks ect Down. They are the main components of your front suspension system.They're a combination spring and shock all in one.Depending on what kind of car you have they can be a little pricey to replace.You may be able to drive the car without fixing them but your ride and handling can be seriously compromised.

Q:I was thinking a magnetic-levitation suspension system but I don‘t have the technical know-how to build that. I didn‘t even graduate college so I‘m not really up to speed on my scientific skills. However, I suspect that the Hawking radiation from a mini-black hole would be sufficient to levitate it without a magnetic field, much like a water droplet hovers on a hot skillet due the Leidenfrost effect. But I really need to know for certain because it would be bad if the black hole got out of control. I briefly considered immersing the black hole in a super-cooled gas of weakly interacting bosons known as a Bose-Einstein condensate but decided against it for safety reasons.

The smallest possible black hole would be about the weight of an average mountain, according to Hawking, or it would quickly lose mass exponentially due to Hawking radiation and explode. He claims there might actually be some of this size left over from the Big Bang. There is no real force that could keep it suspended in Earth's gravity, so it would have to be kept in space. I read a story related to this by Larry Niven. Some rouge scientists found one of Hawking's primordial black holes so he grew it in size using super-dense matter and then fired an ion engine into it for something like a year. After that it could be moved around with a magnetic field, as long as it was kept away from gravitational fields. It was called the Borderland of Sol because it took place in the Oort cloud or Kuiper belt or something.

Kev, Without disassembling the car, the only practical way to test the stiffness is to apply a weight w at each corner (preferably right over the tire) and measure the downward deflection d. Then, at each location, k w/d and the total k for the whole car would be K 4w/(Σd) In this case the 'suspension system' includes the tires as well as the springs shock absorbers.

Q:is the bmw 318ti sport suspension the same suspension as the m3?if it is not the same suspension as the m3, is the 318ti sport suspension , made by bmw‘s m division?

I have a set of Toyos on my knock around Jeep Grand Cherokee AWD V-8 and they show virtually no wear, of course we don't get much snow in Texas and I don't take that hog out that much as much with $4 gas. They were recommended to me by the service rep from Chrysler, just before I sold and retired from the business.

Pro Comp Suspension Systems, Sky Jacker. Old Man Emu and others. Just remember it takes more power and fuel to push wider taller tires and more wind resistance. And Xterra gets more top heavy. A quality suspension lift and realignment could easily cost $3,000 and $3,000 wheels and tires. Save your money if your truck is 2 wheel drive. Good Luck

Q:I have a 1991 Lincoln Town Car and the air bags on the back need inflated for the ride suspension how and where on this car can I do this?

SInce your car is a 1991, I would crawl under it and check the hoses. There is a compressor that automatically load levels the car and possible a sensor is out. I am sure any shade tree mechanic can cut the hose and splice on a valve so you can fill them. You can also take it to a tire shop or a muffler shop cause they do suspensions also, and you can probly get it checked for free. If you decide to take it in to adealer, carry a pocket full of $$$$$$, cause I am sure that will not be cheap!!!

Yes there is a leak or leaks. Otherwise you wouldn't be putting in fluid. Find the leaks and fix them.
