Q:Do wired controls work better than wireless? My hubby uses wireless and I wonder if wired would transmit quicker?: it doesnt matter wired and wireless work just the same

Q:Im installing a motion sensor which comes with 3 wires,red black and white and want to connect it to a indoor light that only comes with 2 wires white and black.How do I go about installing them and powering them?: I don't know what the wires on the motion sensor are except red and black are your live wires, and white is your neutral. The two wires off your light are black is power and white is neutral. You should find the instructions for your motion sensor, it should tell you how to hook it up. Try searching for your model at yahoo or google.

Q:I've seen people use it as ...umm..energy generating...majiggy.. (but not alot of energy) including a magnet/something about a magnetic field or some sort?and instead of MAGNET WIRES can i use SPEAKER WIRES?(RADIO SHACK): Magnet wire is just solid copper with a layer of varnish for insulation. Speaker wire would work, but you could not wind the wire as tightly due to the thicker insulation. also the wire is very flexible and will not stay in place very well. Also, if the coil gets hot, the insulation on the Speaker wire will start to burn or melt. .

Q:why use a large gauge spark plug wires: What is High Tension Electricity? In all my engineering classes, never heard of it. I wouldn't use large gauge spark plugs unless they were specified. If you use them and they're not specified, you could ruin the spark plugs for too much voltage.

Q:ok so i have 3 questions.i have an oldsmobile cuttlas supreme and i have a 0 gauge power wire that is 17 feet is that long enough???? and i have 0 gauge ground that is 17 feet is that long enough....and about the speaker wire..i have 8 gauge speaker wire that is 25 feet..is this a good setup.make sure u answer all these questions please thank you..: the 17 ft of power wire is going to be fine. Just make sure you install an inline fuse by the battery. The 17ft of ground wire is a little bit too much, but you can cut that down. Make sure you ground the amp as close as possible so the voltage drop is minimal. The 8 guage speaker wire is way too high a gauge for speaker wire. You would be fine with 12, 14, or 16 gauge. The length needed depends on what speakers you plan to wire up. If its just subs then I would say thats more than enough. If you're powering components, you will need much more, probable close to 100. Overall it should be a good setup though.

Q:Wired car radio no sound powered on then wires crossed had to run red straight to battery. Then memory and ground crossed. Now nothing. Checked fuses radio fuse is bad. The red wire should go to the ignition on the existing harness in the dash. You were crossing all of those wires? Look at the diagram that came with the deck to know which wires go where. Typical pairs of wires (white and white w#x2F;black stripe or gray and gray w#x2F; black stripe) are for the speakers, red is for power(ignition) I think green is the signal wire and so forth. I don#x27;t know how your wires just get crossed like that? Did you splice them into the wrong ones in the dash?

Q:I bought this ceiling lamp, and there are 4 wires coming out of it. One white and one black (positive and negative), a bare copper wire for grounding, but there's also a yellow striped green wire. I was wondering what's the latter one for ?In my ceiling I have the black, white and bare copper wires.I'm Canadian by the way: Bare and Grn Yel. are both grounds . Just connect one or the other to the 'bare' in the box.
