- Q:besides the huge price difference is there a different feel? Ive heard the look is so similar its hard to determine which is which but does one feel softer or more flexible than the other? My sister in law has a leather sofa that is kind of stiff, I want to avoid that if possible.

- Q:Here are the details of measurements:Sofa: 75 W x 36 D x 30 H (28 with legs off).Doorway: 29 W x 79 HHallway leading to doorway: 29 W x 90 H.All measurements in inches. Not concerned about other entry ways. Basically, seems to me that I should be able to pivot the sofa in through the door If I stand it on its end, put the back in the door first and then pivot the seat portion in.Any thoughts from any movers out there?
- Is the hallway a straight shot? If it curves at the door you will have more difficulty. Also, do you have a straight shot after you get through the door? If the sofa is material and stuffed you have a little more give. You stand the chance of damaging the sofa a little also on the door facing especially if it is leather. You should be able to fit it in. It is a lot easier if you have more than one person moving the sofa.
- Q:It might even be a 6 inch futon mattress I'm not sure...will it fit inside a pull out sofa bed?
- It might, but most sleeper sofas have mattresses about 4 inches thick so the problem might be to get it all to fold up. You'd have to try it.
- Q:do cats prefer to claw certain types of material?i'd really like leather sofas but i'm afraid of my cat clawing them. he doesn't claw my fabric sofas at the moment. he seems to like digging his claws into a rug that i have, which has quite a rough surface.any advice would be great. thanks
- There's really no telling. Each cat is different, and your cat may surprise you. Best way to make everyone happy: Buy yourself the sofa you want, buy your cat a nice scratching post, and invest some time and energy into training. My husband's cat has DESTROYED his fabric desk chair. So when I moved my leather desk chair in, I covered it (except the seat and inside back) with pieces of scotch tape, sticky side out. I left it there as long as necessary for her to get the picture she is NOT WELCOME applying her claws to that furniture. Just do make sure you provide an alternative scratching location that you approve of, since cats NEED to scratch their claws.

- Q:i just moved with my husband (active US Army) to Germany..I have my country's passport and my husband is a US Citizen..I know for tourist,that its up to 90 days to live in Germany..Im command sponsored but was told to get a SOFA stamp in order to reside in Germany..For those who were stationed in Germany or overseas know that its about 2-3 years to be stationed overseas..i was told in order to get a SOFA stamp,i need to get some kind of USA visa (green card)..theres some spouse,same situation,just applied for SOFA stamp and got approved without getting a permenant residence card (green card)...the military legal is no help and its hard getting thru the US consulate..any suggestion would help..thanks :)
- You do NOT need a Green Card in order to get a SOFA Stamp. That is just wrong. All best answers are for 10 points. If you are command sponsored, and you say you are, you take your passport and a copy of his orders to admin and let them process the SOFA Stamp for you.

- Q:Hi, I have a beautiful leather sofa and it's creamour two year old has discovered pens. The simple solution is 'hide' the pens, but with three older children in the house doing home work sometimes pens get left around.If she draws on the sofa.. is there anything that would bring it out without ruining the leather?Nicky
- I don't know any home remedies but I can tell you I found a kit in the automotive dept. at Wal Mart for removing ink from leather. I'm sure it would work for a sofa. My 3 yr old drew with a pen all over the cream leather seats. After using it, the marks didn't disappear at first but after using it a few times they eventually faded away with no damage at all to the leather. This is probably the safest way to do it. Maybe not the fastest but you won't ruin your sofa either.
