- Q: I'm wanting to find seat cover tutorials to for sofa and rocking chair. Does anyone have a tutorial that they like to share? I have a book, but they only show pillows, and blankets. But nothing about seat covers. Any ideas?

- Q: Long story short....a leather sofa and chair was left on a backporch and was rained on.What is going to happen to the leather once it dries? Is it ruined or can it be treated and look decent again?Any information is greatly appreciated.
- Make sure that the frame and springs (if there are any) are not also wet. Once the leather has completely dried rub in some pure bees wax and it will restore it to near what it was.
- Q: Obviously, the PB sofa is nicer, but it costs three times as much. PB offers more choice of fabrics, but with a toddler, I think maybe I should just get a basic white that I can spot bleach when something gets spilled. On the other hand, in a few years, I might be really annoyed if I have to buy a whole new sofa from Ikea rather than just a new slipcover from PB, although a whole sofa from Ikea is still cheaper than a slipcover from PB.Any advice?
- I would advice that you go with the Ikea sofa. I doubt your toddler can completely ruin a couch in 3 years and this would make Ikea smarter. Even if they can, that would mean they would be able to ruin the pottery barn one, costing you three times as much. Ikea generally has good quality products so I wouldn't worry about it being ruined. Spot bleaching is easy so I especially vote Ikea.

- You can only clean with a damp rag along the way the pile goes.If you check with a Saddelry or leather shop you might be able to use a leather soap.
- Q: I'm moving next week and I was wondering if I can load my sofa using U-Haul dolly. I'm not sure if dolly works on stairs or not.
- Well that really depends on how large the sofa is If its like love seat size then that may work but if its full size your going to struggle with a hand truck not to mention fitting it through doorways your better off with a flat floor dolly set the couch on it push it Probably going to save you a headache if you find second person to help carry it then set it on a floor dolly and push it to your truck a hand cart with a big couch and one person will be a struggle hope that helps Lr

- Q: Carpet is light brown,, walls white (can't paint) , need inexpensive window coverings. Sofa, loveseat, end tables could be contemporary or traditional. I lean toward trying to incorporate both. Will be buying new lamps and accessories. This room is used as a living room/family room.I definatly need ideas, if not a complete plan.

- It says the Thickness: 7 1/8 That is typically too thick and will not fold back down into the sofa. Traditionally sofa beds are known for not being very comfy. To thin, so you cannot build it with enough padding or coils. You may want to use the existing mattress and just add a topper too it for comfort.
- Q: I PCS in a 45 days. I have to send my wife's passport to Germany and get it Stamped before she is allowed to enter the country. I'm in Korea. Has anyone had experience with getting this stamp before? How long does it take? I'm going to FedEX it with fastest priority, and hope they mail it back to me within a month.
- As long as she's command sponsored, on your orders, 45 days should be enough time. Do you have a sponsor in Germany yet? If so, I'd ask my sponsor to keep track of the SOFA Stamp request. If you don't have a sponsor write your Senior Enlisted Advisor (or whatever your branch calls it... CSM?) and ask for assistance keeping track of it. Good communications is the key. Make sure your new command knows how to contact you at all times so that if there's a snag they can let you know what's going on.
