- Q:i just moved with my husband (active US Army) to Germany..I have my country's passport and my husband is a US Citizen..I know for tourist,that its up to 90 days to live in Germany..Im command sponsored but was told to get a SOFA stamp in order to reside in Germany..For those who were stationed in Germany or overseas know that its about 2-3 years to be stationed overseas..i was told in order to get a SOFA stamp,i need to get some kind of USA visa (green card)..theres some spouse,same situation,just applied for SOFA stamp and got approved without getting a permenant residence card (green card)...the military legal is no help and its hard getting thru the US consulate..any suggestion would help..thanks :)
- You don't need a green card. It's no longer a stamp, but a card. Either way, depending on where he is stationed have him contact the Passport/SOFA office. You need your passport, marriage certificate, a copy of his orders with your name on it and you should be good to go. NB: Citizens of certain countries may not be eligible for the same day issue. It may require processing but they should be able to tell you and your husband if that is the case with you.
- Q:again, not to be taken literallythough you can go ahead and add what you've found under your sofa cushions for fun. the best i've ever found was dust.
- I guess my life is the sofa. Those things under the cushion are things hidden and forgotten and I really work hard at divesting myself from such things. Sometimes I get a little tired of people sitting on me and one of those steam cleaning things might be helpful. But yeah, the sofa, not the crud.
- Q:How do you reupholster a sofa?
- You need to dissemble the Sofa, take off arms etc., and then you can unstaple and unpick the existing upholstery to use as a pattern. Remember when choosing a fabric make sure it is an upholstery fabric and take into account the way the patterns run. I re-upholstered mine with excellent results, but it's no 5 minute job and you have to re-assemble it after you have recovered it. Good Luck.

- I bought a sofa and a loveseat from Furniture Rpw. It is in my living room right now, and we like it.
- Q:I sanded down the wood on the sofa and started painting and now parts of the wood along the sides have turned PINK!!! That won't do at all! I've painted over it over and over putting layers on and it just keeps turning pink! I have no idea what to do! I need it to be white, not pink!! Please help!
- It being an older sofa I take it. The older type varnish and stain will come through the paint. You can get around this by painting it first with Kilz paint or primer. You won't have to sand and scrape. Just paint. The primer is the better choice and it comes in white.

- Oh your troubles are so small...........(you can see my prob soon) OK men 1=sport(national/team pride) 2=wife(a partner/lover) the poor guy is after a terrible night England get to the final what an acheivement and lose, he is p'd off, he probably sat up going through the game ovr n ovr...... then he goes to bed hoping for some fun to pick himself before work in the morning AND BANG he has just lost again.... i hate arguments going on for days, go back to bed give him a kiss a cuddle n tell him not to be late home from work.... do you know what i mean :)

- Q:Moving on sat, my room is going to be considerably smaller so i was thinking of just getting a futon instead of a smaller bed so i can have more room when im not sleeping. Looking for one that is comfy and looks good. (Comfort is the main concern but if it looks good too, thats a bonus.) Not looking to spend an arm and a leg, but i gotta do what i gotta do. Thanks
- Futons are great space savers but not really practical for every day use and the cushions never stay in place properly when you use it as a sofa. Plus they can be a bit low. If you can cut back on other stuff you want to buy then invest what you save in buying as good a sofa bed as you can. Much nicer to sit on and some can be folded away with the bedding in place so you don't need to find room to store the pillows and duvet.
- Q:I have an old sofa that's not in very good shape anymore and I need to get rid of it. Unfortunately, our city's bulk garbage day won't be for another two months. How do I get rid of this couch?
- Put it outside with a FREE sign on it. Someone will take it. If they don't, then smash it into smaller pieces throw it away.
