- get a new boyfriend=] just kidding. but get a new couch. tell your parents you wont let ur dog destroy anything again. but seriosly if u don't wana loose your dog learn how to train it. it shuldnt be kept in just ur room anyway. you can find tons of books or websites on how to train a dog. there are even articles on how to train specific breeds.

- There are those sliders that make things easy to move and then there are the others that stop it from moving. But them on the legs of your couch...the old rubber ones stop things from moving. Just read the packages.

- I did automotive upholstery for over 20 years, including leather, and I can tell you there is no easy, effective repair for damaged leather. I have tried every brand of repair kit and home remedy I could find over the years, and none of them worked well. Some of them improved the appearance of the leather a little bit but most of them did nothing or caused more damage. You can remove the leather from the sofa and have it redyed by a professional, but the cost of tearing down the sofa, having it redyed, and then recovering the sofa is usually more expensive than a new sofa. If it is on a cushion or skirt or some other easily removable piece then this solution is cost effective. But be warned, the new leather will be close in color but will not match the rest of the sofa no matter how good the dyer is. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. If you do find something that works then please inform every upholstery shop in your area. They are looking too.
- Q:I am currently on a 90 day tourist visa in Japan because my US Navy E-5 Fiancé and I are getting married in Yokosuka City Hall. He is stationed here and he has his own housing provided by the navy outside base. However, his sea duty would expire on August 2013. He already got his orders and that for Shore duty he would be assigned again in Yokosuka for another 3 years. I don't know if I am eligible for Command Sponsorship because one of the requirements is he should have at least 12 months of current tour but he doesn't want to extend his sea duty. - It will depend on the country you are from to whether or not it will be granted. The Japanese government will grant a SOFA stamp to some non command sponsored dependents to stay there but not all. He needs to discuss it with his command and you will the immigration on what they will allow.

- I've purchased several sofas and sectionals from Z Gallerie (they carry a variety of brands) and I've always had great luck with them. You might want to check them out. Their prices are fairly reasonably for the quality and they tend to last longer than most which gives you greater value in the long run. In general, avoid sofas and sectionals that have sewn-in cushions. Since you cannot flip and rotate the cushions you cannot maximize their life. How often does anyone actually sit in the middle of the sofa, right? A good salesperson will be willing to unzip the cushions and show you the construction going on inside. I recommend foam cushions that are wrapped in a blanket of down for more comfort and loft; also the down blanket can be [somewhat] fluffed.

- Q:I was wondering about purchasing a sofa bed to clear up space in my room. I dont want to sacrifice my comfort either. So, I came across the Ikea Manstad Sofa bed. it looks sturdy and different from other sofa beds. Those older sofa beds have those metal bars sticking in your back throughout the night making sleep uncomfortable. The Ikea Manstad doesnt have those metal bars but, im not sure if its very comfortable to sleep on. Is it suitable for everyday sleeping or should I stick with my old fashioned firm mattress?
- It does look comfortable, but I can't figure out how it converts into a double bed. If you have to slide one side up against the other, I am not sure if this is something you'd want to do each day, then put it back into a sofa. I can't imagine any sofa bed would hold up and be comfortable for everyday use. I think they are more suited for occasional use. Another option you may want to consider is a day bed. A day bed takes a regular twin mattress, and if you wanted comfort, you could use a high-quality one that would be nice for sleeping. I have a day bed in my guest room. It's a trundle, with a second twin that pulls out and pops up. You can either make it a separate bed, or butt it up against the other to make a large bed. The mattresses that came with it are cheap. I've slept on them, and they're not too bad. Certainly more comfortable, I think, than a sleeper sofa. Just something to think about.

- How often do you move? Sofa bed is very heavy. It is not good if you move once a year. Beside that I have nothing to complain. How much do you want to pay? Hide-a-bed is most expensive in this catagory and the most comfortable. If space is limited, I agree with you just buy a tempurpedic matress hide it under your own bed and keep the bed away from dust in a plastic bag when is not in use. I am interested in Air bed. They come with different sizes. It is easy to inflat.
