- It's this massive horseshoe shaped brown thing taking up a big chunk of the room. There is always some laying or sitting on it. Usually a teenager or two playing on the laptop while texting. I tried scraping it off, vaccuming it, and I tried the ice thing I read that got it out of other people's carpets and junk.The sofa is made of this soft velvety junk and the wax is like soaked into it or something. I can't even just turn the cushion over. Other people of Answers said use an iron, but there's no iron in our house. Does anyone have any other ideas?Please help! - Ok I think I can help you- I've gotten this out of a bunch of fabrics. No iron? do you have a hair dryer? Use brown paper grocery bags, and place them on the wax. Turn your hair dryer on LOW to start, just in case the heat could damage the sofa fabric. Let the heat of the dryer melt the wax, and keep soaking it up in the paper bag- I ususally tear up the bag into managable pieces. This may take a while, but I have gotten wax out of a neighbors rabbit fur pelt he had on his dresser. this does work. I would try to borrow a neighbors iron if you could, however, that would go faster. Keep checking the fabric underneath the paper- to make sure its not burning the sofa fabric. good luck- hope this helps!

- I have a Nubuck leather sofa, and I use the Leather Master cleaning kit that you can buy at most furniture stores. We hardly use our furniture, so it's never been real grubby, but it's always cleaned up anything I've tried wiping up.

- The urine probably went deep into the foam inside the cushions. You'll have to soak them in the Nature's Miracle, probably a few times to get the smell out. Or you can get new foam.

- Q: Ikea has some really neat furniture. However, I'm concerned about comfort. I'm interested in purchasing a sofa and love seat from their website, but I don't want anything that looks cheap or is uncomfortable. Has anyone owned one and can help me out?
- Actually I have an Ikea sofa Karlstad in my living room and it's not the most comfortable couch, but I got it because I needed one real bad and at least I can change the color if I want. A couple of people have slept on it without complaints. I have a small place and it works for what I need. My boyfriend hates my couch though-lol. Anyway, it has a warranty on it which is nice and it's not the type of couch that has a slipcover If you want to change it you actually take it apart and it's got these very thick pieces of velcro which are virtually invisible unless you take the couch apart. It never looks raggedy, it's always tight so you would never know by looking at it that you can change it. That part I really like. Knowing that when I get tired of the color I can just go to Ikea and for about $50 I can get a new couch again. It's definitely a practical couch, but it's no Laz-boy or anything. I put a couple of pillows on it and it's pretty comfy for me. I think my boyfriend is just a guy, he likes those big ugly leather chairs that you can kick your feet up on.

- Q: A sticker was stuck to my microfiber/suede (? - not sure which type of fabric it is) sofa and left a sticky residue on it. How can I remove the stickiness?
- The safest product to use is De-Solv-It. Spray it on a rag and then test it somewhere on the back of the sofa, which is probably microfiber. Let it dry and then use a light soap/water mix to clean it, followed by clear water. It will probably test out perfectly fine. Then do the same thing with a rag until all the stickies are gone, following with the soap/water mixture and then a good rinse. I use this product as a laundry stain remover and to take grease off carpeting. It's also great at removing marks from plastic wastebaskets and so many other things. I don't know how I existed before I found it. It's one of those wonderful orange products that is literally safe enough to drink. You can find it at Walmart or any full-line hardware store.
