- You need to use a good quality water based foam leather cleaner. DO NOT use anything containing oils, waxes or silicones. (Most 'conditioners' contain waxes or oils) and furniture polish contains silicones BABY WIPES are the worst thing you can use as they will destroy the finish on your leather.

When the time comes to buy one of these sofas, you may well have a few queries that need answering, the main one probably being the price. Also, you will want to purchase one that looks good, is full of style yet is functional and comfortable as a bed and as a sofa, as there is nothing like an uncomfortable bed to ruin a perfectly good nights sleep.

- You have done the right thing by removing the fabric first! Depending on what colour and what type the original fabric is... it can be done. If the fabric is particularly heavy, darkly coloured or patterened I would strongly recomend agaist it because any fabric paints or dyes with a propper consistency to leave you with a normal feelin sofa will be semi-transparent. If you think this wont be an issue, I would suggest silk screen fabric paint (availible at art stores) or a permanant fabric dye (make sure it is deffinatelly permanant and rinse it lots before putting it back on or the colour will rub off!). If you go ahead with this, remember its an item of furnature which is going to get lots of use and contact with your skin, so get a good quality paint/dye, and make sure all the ingreedients are non-toxic! (Blues and oranges have a tendency to use poisonous heavy metals to colour so be aware!)

- Try Shout or any laundry stain remover. Don't scrub but blot with an old towel. If you have access to a carpet shampoo machine that sucks up the water, use that to rinse the product and the ink out. Be sure to let the stain remover work for a bit before you start blotting it up. Those products take a bit of time to work. Another product I use is Oops! It's made by the same company that makes Goo Gone, the stuff that removes label/sticker adhesive. Oops! is for removing paint splatters but I've found it works great on ink and marker too. It's got a funny smell but doesn't bleach or stain most fabrics. Try it on a hidden place before you use it on the part of the sofa with the stain. And leave it lay and work for a good 10-15 minutes before you remove it. And it might take several applications before you get it all out. Lowe's or Home Depot should have Oops! My son had a pen break in his bedroom and got ink all over his carpet. Between the Shout on the smaller spots and the Oops! on the big one, I got it all out. And I have used it to get red colored drink stains out of a white cotton sweat shirt and marker off nylon jackets.

- Cleaning suede stains can be a nuisance, but it is possible to remove them using supplies from your home. Here are the tips on how to clean and remove the stains from suede sofa: 1. Scrape up any substance the stain has. If it's chunky or any portion is sitting on the suede, remove as much as you can using your spoon and place it in a trash bag. 2. Dab at the stain on your suede couch using a clean sponge rinsed in cool water. Avoid rubbing as this may spread the stain. 3. Mix equal parts of water and an enzyme laundry detergent in a bowl to create a paste. 4. Use your spatula to apply the paste over the stained area on your suede couch. Allow the paste to sit for 20 to 30 minutes. 5. Remove the paste from the suede couch by scraping it up with your spatula. 6. Saturate a clean cloth with cool water and wring it out. Blot at the area where the paste was to remove your cleaner and any remnants of the stain. Let your suede couch dry completely. 7. Fluff up the nap and fibers of the suede by brushing it with a suede brush.
