- These are questions probably only T-Mobile can answer. Here's my best advice as a T-Mobile customer for years- Don't deal with customer service on the phone. GO INTO A T-MOBILE STORE! They are awesome. Go in - Take them your phone - tell them your problems - ask your questions - they'll let you know what your options are. It's possible you need a new battery? Last time that happened to me, the store associates GAVE me a new one FREE. You are able to upgrade your phone, but you have to have a good payment history and have had the phone for a certain amount of time (can't remember how long that is).

While both use sim cards, they are two different technologies and are not compatible with each other. iDEN phones can only be used with other iDEN providers, such as Nextel and SouthernLINC. As far as unlocking, each phone will have a different unlock code, so one phone's unlock code will not work with another phone.
