Well, it depends on the wireless carrier you have, and what you do with your phone. If you love taking pictures all the time, get one with a really good camera like that new LG Viewty or whatever it's called. If you like texting, get one with a full QWERTY keyboard, and if you're a businessperson or browse the web a lot, look into a smartphone.

lol, unlocked means that it works with any phone carrier. i like blackberrys so if you find an unlocked one it should work well for you :)

Maybe A Virgin Mobile Phone will work in Canada, but you will be responsible for roaming charges. Also many prepaid services do not allow roaming. So it's better to ask Virgin Mobile. When you are on prepaid, your calling area is limited. With a contract, you are allowed to use the roaming agreements that your service provider has with international phone companies. If you have a contract: yes If you are going prepaid: maybe (call them) The best thing is to go to canada, and get a prepaid plan from a local provider eg. Rodgers. Just buy a cheapo phone for $20-$30 dollars. I took my Verizon and ATT phone to Canada and they both worked fine. (Both are on contracts.)

touch screens and some blackberrys freeze a lot try to stay away from those. t-mobile dash is cool or go att and get the phone unlocked for like $20.

You can't do any of that stuff. Phones aren't like PCs where anyone who's reasonably tech savvy can install a different operating system; it takes a team of programmers months to put a different operating system onto a new phone. Also, phones have different hardware than PCs, so even if you *could* just install a different operating system onto a phone, an operating system made for a PC (like Windows 7) wouldn't work on a phone (and vice-versa).

Q:I recently bought a mobile from a friend. All is in good working condition, however when I try to put my sim in it where it is supposed to say 'o2' it says 'inactive sim' ?? But my sim works in my old phone? Is it the new phone?Any ideas on what i can do ?

i believe somy friend called in to the vmobile ppl and she changed her phone # but kept the same phone so vice versa would probably work
