- I've used swiffer and orange glow cleaners.. Orange glow can soemtimes have a bit too much oil and leave a little residue. Swiffer works well as a cleaner but can leave streaks if you pump too much fluid.. The most important thing about laminate is not to use too much water or liquid on the floor. Keep cleanser and water at a minimum, otherwise the flooring could warp. Also depends on the quality of laminate you have. Best advice is to see if the Brand you purchased makes a specific cleaner.. I know Bruce brand does.

- Kirby is good and lasts forever, but uses a bag Rainbow is awesome, it vacuums into water, so you just dump it down the drain. I hear the cyclone ones aren't all they're cracked up to be.

It wouldn't hurt your dogs ears as much (because he/she wouldn't hear it) And if your dog does have a territory in your home, and your dog is inside, don't vacuum so close to it unless your dog could really care aless or he/she is outside! - I take it if you're going to pay for your vaccuum in Pounds, then you must be posting from England or the UK? I live in the U.S., and I've owned a lot of different brands of vacuums over the years. Kirby, Electrolux, Hoover, can't think of all the brands. They all seem to give only a couple of years of service, and then they fail. And vacuum cleaner repair places are becoming as rare as Hollywood starlets who wear underwear. After my last 2 vacuums failed within a week of each other, I just went out to Walmart and bought a $45 Bissell. It's a cheap vacuum, but it actually cleans quite well. It picks up everything I need it to. And, it can be serviced by the user: there's a filter under the collection canister that clogs up with dust and grime. But you can lift out the filter, wash it out in a sink, and put it back in, and the vacuum has suction like new again. I figure it'll give me several years of service, possibly more. So far it's holding up very nicely. And when it fails for the last time, I'll just pitch it and go buy another just like it. No more expensive vacuums for me.
