Q:i have 2 dogs and a cat and my carpet and kitchen floor ( tile) is so dirty because my vacuum cleaner is broke: I once said when someone asked me if I owned a shark: Never could, never would, no one should. They are by far the biggest creators of knock off machines of what is supposed to be good (Dysons, other companies' top of the line machines). In the end they overheat and die prematurely because of bad design, and consequently become very noisy or just start out that way. I would also never buy a product from a company that is at the bottom of several other companies. i.e., Shark is a division of Euro Pro, which is part of Eureka, which is owned by Electrolux, which is owned by another company(name escapes me). Each company goes up in rank of quality, Electrolux at the top, shark at the bottom.

Q:Toy vacuum cleaners, mops, pretend kitchens and stuff like that?? Isnt that kind of wrong? Seriously.: Yes it's very wrong. Girls are conditioned from a young age to think that changing poopy diapers is fun. Have you seen those dolls that come with a bottle you feed it and then it leaves a surprise in the dolls diaper? I find that seriously disturbing! Thank God my parents bought me cool toys and didn't care if I played with dolls, airplanes or AT-AT walkers.

Q:My vacuum has the ability to fill air matresses, so all that I need is an entention to fill a sport ball. I'd rather that over an electric ball pump because they're priced at $60+ and probably not as good!: Vacuum cleaners don't generate enough pressure to fill a sports ball.

Q:Are they worth the money? Do they really clean the air?: I have been in the cleaning business for 20 years and have had some experience with vacuum cleaners. I think you could have an excellent vacuum for around $300-$400. (Panasonic, Sanyo, Sharp) After seeing the Rainbow demonstrated, I just don't think they are worth the money. I also don't get how they clean the air. Basically, they are passing the dirty air over some water (not through it). and call this cleaning the air and filtering out the dirt. Check out some of the above vacuums online and save yourself some Christmas money. I just recently bought a Sanitaire SC6600 for our house and we really like it. Paid Approx. $325.00. It is commercial, 2 motor system, tools and stretch hose on board, carpet or hard floors (your can turn the beater brush off and just have air flow). Hope this helps.

It uses bags (which I now think is cleaner than the bagless kind...then you don't have to breathe in dust mites when you empty the bin.) I have 2 Ragdoll cats....they shed like crazy. I have tried many....many vacuums over the years, and this is truly the vacuum I swear by. And the attachments on this one are awesome too. It has a power paw attachment for the stairs. I had been using a hand-held vac to do steps (and though convenient, those hand-held models just don't have the power of an upright!) My mother-in-law (who doesn't care for cats) remarks on how nice our carpets look every time she comes over. I think that really seals the deal for me. And the attachments on this one are awesome too.
