FAQ

Q: What's the difference with cyclonic to multi-cyclonic filtration system?

Multi-cyclonic is where the dust container has a plastic filter section inside and has many little tunnels in it that separate the finer dust and dirt for the next filter and there is no HEPA filter in the middle plastic filter section.

Cyclonic filtration is where there is a central HEPA filter that sits inside the dust container and catches the finer dust.

Q: My vacuum just stopped while I was using it! What do I do now?

All of our vacuum cleaners have been fitted with a thermal safety cut-off switch which activates to stop the motor from burning out. When it does that it will prevent the unit from turning on again until it has cooled sufficiently to reset, which is between 2 – 4 hrs. The most common reason for safety cut-off switch activated is the filters needs to be cleaned. Please read the instruction manual and follow the instructions on how to clean the filters.

Q: My neighbor recently told me in secret that he got body lice (crabs) from a one night stand about 3 or so weeks ago at a party. The other night he asked to borrow my vacuum cleaner because he was having guests over and his wasn't working properly. Do you think if I get it back it will bring the crabs over to my house? His house is very messy and very dirty. What should I do? Should I just let him keep it for fear of the little critters moving in on me and my daughter? HELP!!!
I wouldn't let him use it. Tell him you have a child to keep safe and healthy.Or if you don't want to say NO give it to him if you can get another.I wouldn't want to take the chance.I don't really think they can live after being sweept up.Head lice die after you vacuum them up.I just think that it would be gross if it was mine.
Q: Are there any vacuum cleaners that have a charcoal filter? If so, what's the cheapest one?
Very Unlikely they use Hepa Filters instead.
Q: I have a house cleaning business, we clean 2 homes a day and after buying 14 vacuum cleaners in the past 2 years I am done with spending money on vacuums that don't hold up or are 2 heavy or have so many filters to clean that you spend your evenings doing that. Does anyone have any suggestions on what vacuum we should buy? Just like you the house's we clean have an array of flooring, wood, tile, oriental rugs, carpet. Please help with your experience Thanks!!
Kirby, they are the best you can buy. Yeah they are expensive, but in the ned they are worth all your money. they can do a demonstration in your house and everything.. You can even make payments like a hundred dollars a month if that's what you want. they are awesome. Google them and get set up with one of their rep's today. Good luck
Q: My old vacuum cleaner is slowing breaking down. I've been looking around at new vacuum cleaners and everyone talks about how good the Dyson vacuum is. Is it worth it?
Not really. I've decided I hate bag-less vacuums and will never buy another. I loved my Rainbow (broken) vacuum and will get one of those or one with a bag.
Q: I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should. Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you
I LOVE mine! I had a Kirby for a few years and was never all that thrilled with it. I was always told those were one of the best vacuums you could buy (I would hope so for the amount of money I spent for it). I went and bought a Dyson Animal and am soooooo much happier with it. I am constantly recommending it to people. In fact, my boss actually had me order one for him since I talked about it so much! :o) My favorite part about the Dyson is how you can see how well its working by how often you have to empty the collection chamber. I've heard some people complain about it not holding enough, but I look at it like it's actually doing an awesome job if I have to empty it a couple of times in one vacuuming session. And this is when I vacuum twice a week! Also, I love how easy it is to go from carpet to hard floors. Since I have a lot of tile in my house, it's nice to be able to vacuum the floors then go straight to cleaning the tile without having to pull out the broom. Plus, you can easily pull out the hose from the handle to clean corners, tight spaces, etc. without having to fumble with attachments. Even though $500 is a lot of money for a vacuum (I stupidly spent more for my Kirby), the Dyson is definately worth every penny!
Q: So I went on a trip, and I put my clothes in SpaceBags to save space. Problem is, there's no vacuum in the hotel for when I'm repacking to go home. I only brought one bag, and there's a one-bag limit. No carry ons. What do I do about it?
Hotels have vacuum cleaners. Ask the maid if their hotel has vacuums with a hose and if you can use it briefly.
Q: We need a really quiet vacuum cleaner that can be operated while meetings are going on. Any suggestions
The quietest one I know is a Ghibli. I have one. If you're standing beside it, you can talk to someone in a normal voice. Mine doesn't have a beater bar which is the noisiest part of a vacuum cleaner but has lots of suction and does a very good job on carpets without it. Go to a vacuum specialty store and see what they have. I understand that Miele is very quiet too. When you're checking out vacuum cleaners, note that most of them give a decibel rating in the specs
Q: This questions is about a nephew. He is 5. I have 3 children ages 5,3 and 18 mo and the two older ones have never seemed to know so much about 1 toipic and talk so much about it. Is this typical or abit on the autistic specrum of my nephew. He's been like this about vacums since he was about 4.
Some children tend to fixate on certain items, whether it be a cartoon personality, cars, their stuffed animals etc. It just so happens that he really likes vacuum cleaners. Although I haven't come across this type of fascination with a cleaning item, I don't suppose it is unheard of. I don't think it is fair to say he falls into the Autism Spectrum based on this one fact and so little information, but this does tend to be one characteristic among many that is seen in children that qualify for that type of diagnosis. Below are some other characteristics of Autism Spectrum children. Every child does not exhibit these characteristics, it may be just a few. lack of eye contact echolalia (repeating words said by others, rather than responding appropriately) delayed speech lack of social skills rather play solitary than with other children repetitive behaviors (flapping hands as an example) sensory issues lining up toys as opposed to playing with them appropriately rigid to touch (sometimes not always) rigid to routine, does not like changes some children can read early on/excel in math at a young age
Q: A little old lady answered a knock on the door one day, only to be confronted by a well-dressed young man carrying a vacuum cleaner.Good morning, said the young man. quot;If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners.quot;quot;Go away!said the old lady. quot;I haven't got any money!quot;and she proceeded to close the door. Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed wide open. quot;Don't be too hasty!he said. quot;Not until! you have at least seen my demonstration.And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure onto her hallway carpet. quot;If this vacuum cleaner does not remove all traces of this horse manure from your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder.quot;The old lady stepped back and said, quot;Well I hope you've got a darned good appetite, because they cut off my electricity this morning.quot;
Mwaahhh ha hah hah
Q: what brand is a good brand for vacuum cleaners other than dyson?
Hoover is Best !! Used it before I owned Dyson. Shark and Eureka are good too.
