Q:Are you scared of vacuum cleaners too?
Of course, I need a good excuse not to have to vacuum around here ;-)
Q:How much are they and what store sells them the cheapest
www.okorder $129.95 for vacuum cleaner with HEPA filter
Q:Our old Dirt Devil is on its last leg and I was looking for a top-notch replacement vacuum cleaner for under $300.Any suggestions, opinions or reviews on vacuum cleaners that may be right for the money?
I would just look for another Dirt Devil. Cheap and reliable.
Q:I had sales people come to my door last night. I was just getting in the shower. I told them I had very little time. Two came in and demostrated. The woman was very understand and went through it fast. When they were getting ready to leave the big boss came in. I am assuming to close the deal. He went throught the demo all over again. I kept telling him I have been through it already. Three hours later they were leaving!! She apologized. It seems like an amazing vacuum, but a lot of work. In addition to the work it was going to cost me 1900.00! I hear they Dyson (misspelled I am sure) is good. Does anyone know anything about the Dyson?
My momloves her Dyson, I personally own a Kirby and love it except the weight of it. Kirby's do last but if you have a 2 story then get a easier to lift model. I loke the fact that it has the hepa filter because my son has serious asthma and that is why I purchased it and that I am a clean freak so dust mites gross me out. You can't go wrong with a kirby I would go on OKorder or something and see what they run. Even one that is ten years old can be fixed up at the local Kirby shop. I would definately file a complaint against the salesmen, they are very good but that is ridiculous.
Q:I currently have a Bissell bagless. It just seems where I live (rural area) I am vacuuming 3-4 times a week and although I take the vacuum apart and clean regularly, it just doesn't seem to pick-up like I think it should. Anyone have an opinion on the Dyson vacuum cleaners? I am considering purchasing one and would like to know what you like or dislike about it. Thank you
I have a dc15 ball dyson. I love it it sucks up everything. it really works great. and with the lifetime filter i wash that about once a month. the cons.. I like using the floor attachment for the hose for hard floors than the head of the vacuum. but other than that I looooove it!!! plus i like the way it manuveurs easier than others. some say not having a light on this one makes it difficult to see in small places. I have not had that problem.
Q:How do they suck up the dirt? I have always wondered this. How does a vacuum work?
The industrial vacuum cleaner has developed over the years into a sophisticated piece of cleaning equipment for a variety of applications. The principle of the vacuum cleaner is the same across the range, in that a pump creates a partial vacuum within the machine to pick up the dirt. Having said that, the range of machines is vast with machines capable of dealing with hazardous or explosive dust in difficult environments, and machines with complex filtration systems.
Q:I thought Dyson had a patent on bagless vacuum cleaners but now everybody is copying him. Is it because the patent has now expired and so people can copy it? (as he once sued hoover for copying him but that was a long time ago, around 10 years ago)Thankyou for your help
Are you talking about a broom? I don't think those can be patented.
Q:I can't use brush roll vacuums due to long hair on the carpet which has destroyed other vacuums with brush-rolls. I know Miele Art is one -does anyone know any others? TY.
Every canister vacuum I know of has a way to put a plain floor brush on the end of the wand instead of a beater brush. Shop-vacs also just have plain brushes.
Q:Since the Vacuum Cleaner was the staple household appliance for the 1950's housewife, and woman are still targeted as the wider market for vacuum sales e.g woman are used to advertise them. I am curious to know what this relationship says?It might seem to be a silly question, and perhaps my wording isnt correct, but it is something which interests me and I would appreciate honest answers.
The fact that advertising is still targeted, in the main, towards women some may say points to the fact that inequality between the sexes exists as a generalisation despite attempts to change this and that females will forever be potrayed as humble homemakers. I however, think it is because women have higher standards.
Q:I have had Sears vacuum cleaners, with beater bar and brushes, for over 40 years, now all of a sudden the bars have only brushes, no beater (to vibrate dust out of the carpet.) So I am wondering if ANY other company has them???.
I okorder to be sure, and it is as I've always thought: a beater bar is a rotating brush, so any vacuum with a rotating brush has a beater bar. The action of the brush hitting the carpet loosens dirt. I can see this happening when I use my vacuum, if I look close in good light.
