Q: There are many other things in our houses that make a racket, and the dogs and kitties are alright with them, but, drag out the Hoover, and, wow!, it's as if you were coming after them with a chainsaw.Why is this?: Probably because the vacuum is bigger than them, it's close to the floor, and they feel the loud noise is something trying to attack them. Q: it seems to be depositing the dust and crap back out. The carpet ends up worse then it originally was! The band defiantly hasn't broken as the brush is still spinning. Its past its warranty (conveniently lol)Any ideas?: It okorder /

Q: What are the best reasonably priced HEPA air filters out there? Is it best to get one that attached to a furnace (but then its only running when the heat or AC is on) or a few smaller ones and move them room to room?Also, I understand that it is imprtant to try and vacuum with a HEPA vacuum. Any advice on something out there that is reasonably priced (and reasonably priced filters).For both, I want to get something that is not too cheap (ie something that actually works) but not top of the line (I am not running a hospital.. just want to increase the quality of the air we breathe at home.: I would go with one attached to your furnace. Most thermostats have a setting that will make the fan run continuously, not just when heat or ac is called for. I think that would be cheaper to buy, run and replace filters for than trying to run several small portable units. We had a Hoover upright with HEPA filter that seemed to work pretty well for a mid-priced vacuum. Bert

Q: thee is so much talk about kirby vacuum cleaners ,are they that good?anyway i want to test one and looking for one to purchase onlinewhere can i look?: I have a kirby and love it, i have all the scrubing tools etc and Never have a problem with it, I gave up on the cheaper Vacs a few yrs ago, always losing power and something. The next best is the Dyson................you can go on line to check them out or to a store in your area that sells them.

Q: Hi I'm considering buying one as I have back problems and vacuuming is tough for me, but I'm not sure how effective they would be. If anyone has used one, please let me know, Thank you!: They work great just as long as you dont have rugs that might get stuck in it. Tile floors with quite a bit of open room is perfect. They also sell little sensors that dter the vac from certain areas that you might consider. The scheduler can be programmed to venture out at a certain time then return for charging after completion of its rounds. Great product!

Q: I have 2 vacuum cleaners, both need new electrical cords! How do I replace them?: There's not a whole lot to it. Follow the existing cord into the housing. Remove the screws that hold the housing together and pull the housing apart. You'll see that your white wires are typically wire-nutted together and your black wire from the cord will probably have a 1/4 female spade connector and is connected to the switch. The other wire on the switch runs to the motor. All you need to do is buy a replacement cord(assuming you can't just cut the bad part off the old cord) and route it in the same manner that the manufacturer did and make the connections just as they did.
