Q: I need to clean a spot of urine from our oriental rug (from Dubai). It may have been a day old when I discovered it. I soaked up as much as I could with a paper towel but it has left a slight stain.
Hydrogen peroxide will oxidize the colour and it will fade the colour. There are carpet cleaners which will get rid of the stain as long because it is a clean stain. right this is a restoration which will get rid of maximum stains with little or no value. Take a number of your hover carpet air purifier cleansing soap and advert it to heat water. Use you hands and damped the face of the carpet in basic terms. are not getting the lower back of the carpet moist. when you have the face damp, positioned a great mound of white paper towels on precise of the stain. positioned a water evidence weight on precise of the towels. permit set over night. This removes maximum stains, yet some circumstances demands 2 remedies.
Q: Ok i just got new ferrets and every time they go onto my living room rug and then sniff it they start bugging out like they'll keep jumping really high sometimes almost flipping and then start rolling around and its only when they sniff the rug is when they do this and they do it every time. Is it bad for them to be going on that rug?
They are excited to be in a new room. This is called the weasle war dance they are doing. Means they are happy.
Q: What about the Muenster carpet?
High quality New Zealand and British wool is used to make suede, even with a small amount of chemical fiber (mainly nylon blended), also to improve carpet quality indicators and to facilitate the manufacture. Therefore, its wear resistance, lodging resistance are very superior. Two, the structure is reasonableWilton will face yarns woven into the carpet is organized, for pile cutting (or cutting circles forming velvet), and is the Axminster weaving method according to the Oriental carpet, using a mechanical method to cut the yarn into the specified length, the structure of "U" or "J" type method of planting buried layer between the warp of the carpet, and then by the weft to be fixed. Therefore, the carpet structure is very solid, shrink reducing, and carpet clean, no heavy yarn.
Q: how do you make a rug?
Depends on what kind of rug you want. You can go to a carpet store to buy a remnant, then purchase an easy finishing edge cording so it doesn't get ratty edges. Or you can do some quilting and attach it to a straw or rubber type mat. Try googling DIY Rugs and look at all the different types you can make and what the materials would cost. There are so many choices!
Q: I steam clean my carpet twice a year but lately because of a sick pet it is more often. No matter if I do it myself or have a professional do it, I see dark brown water. It has never been clear. How many times do I go over the carpet to get the clean water. Is this all dirt? Or is it color from the carpet and pad. It drives me nuts. Only carpet that comes out with clear is one that was shampooed twice over the years in an extra room that isn't used. Thanks to anyone who can tell me why and what I have to do. No, I'm not a pig lol. Of course I vacuum regularly.
It is just dirt and dust. You can probably go over it 10 times and still get dirty water. The dirt becomes crushed down into the fibers and to the pad. The best you can do is to shampoo once, and rinse twice.
Q: Me and my husband have been searching apartments for rent and 90% come with carpets. Being both from Europe, we are not used to the smell of carpet. We just wondered what happened in this country that so many people use carpets.
well theres not really a big reason for it its just that most of the time its the living room and bedrooms that have carpet which makes the floor warm, when you are just walking in your house barefoot you dont want to walk on a cold hardwood floor the whole time, some like carpet because it can be considered a luxory ( i have no idea why it is i guess because its expensive ) others have it just because of the color! well thats the only reasons i have known. if you are buying the apartment you can always take the carpet out of the house, thats what we had to do in our house because of my 2 littlest brothers they would always spill drinks etc. on the floor so we just pulled up the carpet, and there you have it. =)
Q: We have this rug that's been washed over and over again and it still has SO much dust in it! I can't find where to find a rug beater and I really don't know how to get the dust out...can you help me??
Use a vacuum cleaner with real good suction, then take it out and hang it over something and beat it with force, then sweep it again to get the remaining dust out. You don't need a rug beater. I used to use a boat paddle. Anything you may have handy will work. Good luck.
Q: I had purple window paint spilled on my carpet and I really need to get it out. Help please??
Use carpet cleaning machines loaded with steam cleaning advantage. Ordinary carpet cleaners can't remove the paint perfectly but carpet cleaners with steam cleaning feature can easily remove the stains.
Q: please tell me how to tell whether or not to put a rug my horse, she lives out she is not clipped but she will be soon i live in cavan ireland so it can get cold so could someone tell me what signs i should look out for to tell when is the right time to put on a rug.p.s my horse is an irish sports horse if that makes a diffrence
Personally, I'd have her in a rug right now. I'm in Scotland and both mine are in middleweights - its dropping to near 0 degrees at night already and I wake up to frost. When she gets clipped she MUST have some form of rug on with weight in it unless its gorgeous weather - when you take away their coat its like taking away our clothes and expecting us to stand in the cold - we can't heat ourselves up and so we get cold very quickly. This is what I said for another answer. Weather for no rugs / fly rugs - HOT weather with no / little breeze. Weather for a rainsheet - Rain but no wind. Weather for a lightweight - Rain with wind, or just wind. Weather for a mediumweight - Rain with a lot of wind, just wind or cold temperatures (basically, as I don't feel the cold, the minute I need to be putting on a jacket is mediumweight weather) Weather for a heavyweight - The coldest it gets. Snow. Below freezing temperatures. Last year in the worst of it I did put a heavyweight stable rug under a heavyweight turnout, it got that cold.
Q: How can I remove wax from may carpet?
Use boiling water to the melt the wax , it'll float over the water and you can suck it it up with a wet dry vaclum cleaner. you must do qiuck before it get in to the carpet again with the water. Off course, you have to remove the large portion of it by breaking it with your hand or a scraper. Be carefull not to caut the carpet. Good Luck!
