FAQ

1.    For Polished Porcelain Tile, is the 60*60 available?

—— Yes. For some series, the size 80*80, 100*100 and 60*120 are also available.

2.    What is the MOQ for this tile?

—— Normally the MOQ is 1382.4 m2 for one 20’ container. To support our clients, we could go with 3 models to fill one container at most.

3.    Can we use the carton with our own design and brand name?

—— Yes. Normally we go with Neutral Carton or our Carton with our CMAX brand name. But for carton of client’s own design, the MOQ for one size is 5 containers, due to the carton factory can’t arrange production if quantity is below 5000 pcs.

Q:My fireplace is non-working and it is made of ugly red tile that looks dirty and has pen marks on it from previous owner's kids. I want to paint it to update the look. What would Fleck Stone paint look like?
Painting okorder /... these tiles, or stones, whichever you like, are already mounted on sheets, so you don't have to place them individually. Again, you get that double stick tile paper stuff, then just stick it on the red tiles, put new tiles on top, then grout! Super easy!
Q:The tile at the store says $5.00 per square foot.. so I'm assuming that's the cost of the tile only.. and then how much does it generally cost to install? Another $5 or more per square foot? I am new to this all.
what the tile store quoted you is the price of the material only. depending on the area of the country you live in, tile installation prices vary. labor prices can range from $2-$10 a square foot depending on the size of the tiles, any pattern you may choose (brick pattern, diagonaly, etc), the type of material you choose (i charge upwards of $15 per foot for glass tiles. i know you are talking floor tiles, and i know you didn't pick a glass tile, but i've seen it done, and believe me, it's well worth $15 a foot!). moving furniture can incur an additional charge; save this money by clearing the room yourself. any floor prep can be additional. if your floor is off-grade (as in not a concrete slab, or you are referring to an upstairs room) then an installer will charge additional for the cost and installation of an underlayement, which is required for tile if installed over plywood. talk with anyone you know who has had ceramic tile installed recently and see who they might recommend. the tile store might offer recommendations as well. get about 3 before you commit to an installer. to giver you a general idea on prices--if you choose a 16 inch tile to be installed over concrete on a straight pattern (square tiles, not diagonal or diamond pattern), you're looking to pay about $3-5 labor per square foot. good luck!
Q:i want to use broken tiles for flooring in the balcony. what is the procedure?? and how do i start??please suggest.
I suggest that you first prep and fill your concrete and let dry. Next you should lay out some tile pieces on an area near your starting point fitting the pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle. Next spread some tile mastic over an area equal to the size of the area where you have laid out tile pieces that fit together. Next, quickly set the tiles in the mastic in the same pattern that you had them laid off to the side leaving at least about 1/8th gaps between the tile pieces. When you are finished, scrape off any mastic that does not have tile set in it. Repeat this process until you completely cover your floor. Allow to dry for a day and then fill the cracks with grout. Allow the grout to dry for a day and then do an acid wash to remove the grout residue.
Q:We are going to replace the bathtub that came with our house, built in 1986, but we can not decide whether or not to just get a regular bath combination shower or just the bathtub and tile the shower walls...any suggestions or experience with this that anyone would be able to recommend either way?
What type of flooring is in the room? Do you have another shower? I really like look of tile, but not cleaning it. I would recommend using a medium/dark grout.
Q:What is the best thickness of the tile?
Depends on the kitchen or the living room. The Kitchen is generally 9mm. Living room in general 10mm
Q:What kind of ceramic tile?
Glazed tiles: Glazed tiles are the bricks that are baked on the surface of the brick. In general, glazed tiles are rich in color and pattern than polished tiles, and at the same time play the role of anti-fouling. But because the glazed tile surface is glaze, so wear resistance than polished tiles. Classification According to the raw materials are divided into ceramic glazed tiles and porcelain tiles. According to the different gloss, and divided into two kinds of matt and light. Features: The scope of the kitchen should use bright glazed tiles, should not use matt glazed tiles, due to grease into the brick surface, it is difficult to clean up. Glazed tiles are also suitable for use in bathroom balconies and so on.
Q:What purpose does it serve? Is it safe to assume the tile will settle half of the trowel thickness? For example, if using a 1/4 inch trowel, will the tile settle 1/8 inch when set in place? Thanks for any help/advice!
Guitar is mostly right. You need the correct size trowel to spread it uniformly to set the tile in place so the thin set will both bond the tile to your substrate and provide the correct coverage to support the tile . Different trowels for different applications. You don t rely on the tile settling into place you have to set it, slightly press it and use a slight twisting motion to get the coverage you need to conform to specs in the ATC tile hand book, Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar and check my qualifications there. Q:I am going to lay bathroom floor tiles in my bathroom but I have some questions before I start. 1. Can I lay the new tiles over the existing floor, which is vinyl flooring? Or do I have to remove that first? 2. If I have to remove the vinyl flooring do I have to add cement backer board? Or can I lay the tile right over whatever is under the vinyl flooring? 3. I have trim along that floor that I will be re-attaching, do I lay the tile right up to the wall or do I put a space in between the wall and the edge tile? Do I then grout into that space between the wall and the edge tile?
pull up the vinyl and mortar AND screw down Hardybacker board . dont buy that crap gypsum board from lowes or that foam stuff. dont EVER lay tile down over wood... EVER lay your tile 1/4 inch away from the walls. and then your base board and base shoe will lay over the tile and it'll look great. grab some 1/8 spacers.... lay with a 1/8th inch gap and it will look much nicer.
Q:I am planning on laying some tile today but not sure when it can be walked on. Also, can I lay some today and start again tomorrow? It is in a small bathroom.
I usually layout for full tiles splitting the door and full tiles on the wall behind the door measure into the bathroom usally just past the end of the cabinet for full tiles snap a line across your bath then snap a line for full tiles down the wall.Check for square then work your way back out of the bathroom. If you start setting from center and working out you will probably wind up with cut tiles meeting the carpet a serious cut hazard for bare feet. You can walk on the tile the next day.
Q:i have these ugly light blue ceramic tiles in my kitchen (as a backsplash)..they are fairly big squares ... and the owner before me tried to paint the grout between them because the paint (or whatever it was) is coming off so now the grout is gross dark grey coming through...anyways...i was wondering if anyone had some easy ideas to cover up the ceramic tiles.
yep there is. You could put a thin sheet of ply over it and have it colored or hang pics etc.
