Q: Can I charge the battery (1.2Vx2) with the suction tube submerged in the water or do I have to remove the suction tube every time I have to charge the battery?: Since you don't mention the model of the pump, if you can connect the charger with a dry connection, you should not have to remove the pump/tube. If you have to take the battery out, you stand the risk of dropping it in the water putting it back, but obviously (I think) you don't have to remove the pump/tube.

Q: it is a mazda b3000 pick up v6,it is coming from behind water pump,but it is not all the time, i would think that if pump is going it would be all the time, but it will go bone dry for a few dayswhen it does leak it leaves about an 8 inch spot on the driveway,temp gauge goes to its regular spot and does not move,any suggestions would be helpful,thanks: water pumps can leak at different times, i had one that would not leak hot, while running, under pressure, but once it was completely cold it would start to drip, look for a small weep hole , there's a good chance this is wear it is leaking

Q: I have a Honda 20003 bf15 d short shaft Ineed to change the water pump I have removed the 5 bolts that hold the lower unit it on but the shifter is steal hooked up how doI unhook that?: Please get the workshop manual. From an imperfect memory it should be in forward gear to expose a link - but I could be confusing it with other brands. This brand has a known issue with the water pump if ever run dry as both the impellor and the housing can be damaged instantly. The pump should always be replaced as a full assembly, housing, seals and impellor, as detritus can easily block water galleries and that requires extensive work to remediate. The thermostat should be checked and replaced at the same time. Worn and damaged impellor material can easily end up through the block, head, thermostat etc. and that must be checked for as well. The lower cylinder can be down on compression caused by local overheating due to this and mud, sand and corrosion reducing water flow. An engine that very much must be flushed and looked after after all use - that includes all the larger models with this brand. They are quite a good engine, but seem very heavy for the output to me - particularly compared to lifting a two stroke on and off....

Q: I found a small submersible water pump for pond decorations or birdbaths in my garage. It's about the size of three decks of cards stacked on top of each other. Would there be any harm/benefit of putting this into a 55 gal fw community tank?: well it depends, do you have any small fish? and how is the water cycled in the pump? it needs to be protected so that fish dnt obviously get sucked. before you add it in tho need it submerged in a bucket of water and add several teaspoons of salt; that will kill all the bacteria that may have grown on and inside the pump. leave it in there for minimum 24 hours (just to be sure).

Is it a turn around?: The water pump with frequency conversion is set correctly and will not burn the motor. If there is a problem, the frequency converter will automatically stop running. The frequency converter can change the positive and negative (frequency changer without this function, change the phase sequence)

What does this sound like it would be?: Hi so when was the radiator cap last changed as the spring becomes weak over time and the engine appears to boil over.so a new radiator cap usually fixes this problem.

Q: my water is frozen from pump to faucets,do i thaw from pump to faucet ,or faucet to pump?: open faucet nearest pump, use hair dryer on line from faucet to pump. Of course you need better insulation, but you can leave a faucet drip to help keep the line from freezing up until then.

Q: Recently my ford aerostar van started pouring water from the weephole of the waterpump and all my oil was just disappearing leaving just foam on the dipstick...we drained what oil was in it and there was antifreeze in the oil so we figured it was a blown head but it it possible for antifreeze to leak into the oil due to a bad waterpump?: It is both. The water pouring from the weephole is a sign the waterpump went out on you. This probably caused the engine to overheat and blow the head gasket (if not crack the head as well.) Any time you have a blown head gasket you need to know what caused it to happen. A head gasket doesn't get blown for no reason, it is caused by overheating. Knowing what caused the overheating, in this case the water pump, is important because if you just fix the head gasket, it will happen again because you didn't fix the overheating problem.
