Q: Looking to find out the best car tire brand?
placed on scores (how long the tyre will final) are no longer featured interior the ecu scores. The moist score is merely the effects of a moist braking try. you additionally must examine the effects of moist cornering and resistance to aquaplaning exams, to boot as dry cornering and dry braking. The tyre's stiffness in distinctive guidelines will additionally variety, which will impression the automobile's holiday and its guidance responsiveness. For a iciness tyre, its overall performance on ice and on snow are serious, and neither are section of the recent ecu score gadget. ultimately, the fee isn't unavoidably right down to the valuable factors of the tyre - one producer could be waiting to value under yet another if its production costs are decrease. there are countless customer exams of tyres that are greater finished than the recent ecu scores.
Q: I'm about to replace my all weather tires with winter tires. My car is a 2001 Mercury cougar w/sports package(which apparently makes a difference in tire size). Factory recommended, my car should have v rated tires. They do not make my factory size v rated tires for winter. So the all weathers are 205/55/16, which is what I will be getting for winter tires too. The all weathers that I have now are H rated. Does it really matter what speed rating the tire has if they will be used in winter and I will obviously be going no faster than 50mph, and thats if I feel the roads are ok? The tires I'm interested in are the Winterforce tires with the speed rating of 90S. Factory reccomends 89V for me car. Will the winterforce be ok? Also these tires are called Winterforce 90S BSW. What does the BSW mean?
ok first your buying tires made to driv ein snow and wet right are you planing on driving faster? most likely wil be driving slower than your speed rating anyways and really one or more under or over wil be fine
Q: If I wanted to buy a few used tires, do you think they would last, saya month? Where can you get used tires?
Yes they are worth it, most places will guarantee for a period of time if it should be sold with a small leak. Used tires are especially good when you need to return a leased vehicle but it has worn tires.
Q: Hole to what extent, the tire can not make up?
Generally from the tire inside to fill the hole no problem, then the big point of the hole from the inside is not very good, because the hole is big, the glass stone on the road and other small things easy to go into the hole, a long time to go back to the inside again Of the film top open. This time to use the external method, that is, plug the tape. If the hole and then the big point, then with the overlap of two strips can not fill the words, you can only change the tires, (you can also add a tube, can be a dead man ah, if you think this car is also comfortable.
Q: How does the idle car tire be placed and maintained?
Tires should be stored in a dry warehouse, to avoid sun and rain, not too much ventilation. Large-scale tire warehouse should be equipped with a thermometer and hygrometer, the temperature should be controlled at -10 ~ +30 ℃, relative humidity of 50% to 80% is appropriate. Tires should be placed away from heat sources, power generation equipment and where ozone can be generated to prevent tires from accelerating. Tires can not be with flammable materials and oil, acid, alkali and other chemicals together. Avoid sunshine, moisture, high temperatures and chemicals.
Q: I am looking to replace all 4 tires and was wondering what to do with the old tires? Does anyone know what‘s the best thing to do with the old worn out tires? I live in Columbus, OH.
Flush your transmission if possible once a year. Use some kind of additive to keep the tranny fluid cooler. Check the tranny fluid at every oil , Drive good, racing, sudden acceleration hurt engine and transmission
Q: By my experience, almost all cars experience more tire wear on the front than the rear -- not just front wheel drive cars.I took my 88 Volvo to the Firestone shop to have them re-install the all-weather tires and remove the snow tires. They put the rear tire on the front. When I pointed out that the least worn tire should be on the front, they said this was their policy to avoid oversteer during braking. If many cars, including the 88 Volvo, have tires which wear most on the front, and if they always put the worn tires on the front (even without the customer‘s notification or permission) THEN it is never possible to extend tire wear by rotating the slightly worn tires to the rear.1) Do you know of cars which tend to wear most on the front?2) Isn‘t the point of rotating tires to extend the life of the tires by swapping front to rear?To me this is just a scam by Firestone to sell more tires. And incidentally, they would have to put the brand new tire on the REAR, minimizing overall tire life.
alway place better tire on rear standard practice not a scam front wheels tend to wear more yes but not reason for placing better tires on rear to prevent fish tailing it rain lost of control standard to place better tire on rear the point of rotating tires to extend the life of the tires by swapping front to rear yes but no reason to rotate a wore out tire over safety of placement which is why they put better tire on rear for your safety you roate tires at every oil change but you dont roate a wore out tire you replace even then new tire go to rear here a few links but youy can search for your self type into search box where to add new tires or just call three brand name tire stores where to place new tires how to check tire tread how to read tire wear
Q: What are world-class car tire manufacturers? Specifically introduced
Bridgestone, the world's leading tire manufacturer, has 51 plants in 23 countries and is sold in more than 150 countries. In 1988, Bridgestone acquired the second largest tire manufacturer "FIRESTONE" in the United States. In 1997, Bridgestone began to provide tires for Formula One racing teams. In November 2001, Bridgestone developed the world's largest tire with a diameter of 4.04 meters. November 2006, Bridgestone developed zero-pressure tire (RFT, in the state of 0kPa pressure, the speed of 90km speed 80km distance of the tire) began to equip the BMW Z4 sedan. Bridgestone has also developed a dedicated tires for Ferrari's newest sports car ENZO, which has resulted in a controlled speed of more than 350 kilometers. In June 2003, Bridgestone won the Airbus supply contract for the first time and will begin providing tires for the A380 super-large aircraft's nose gear and main landing gear in the fourth quarter of 2005.
Q: I need to buy tires for my car, but this is the first time I am buying tires. I have offers from Sullivan Tires and Town fair tires. Sullivan tires is offering me YOKOHAMA AVID TRZ for $70.87 (with 13.99 for balancing and $60 for alignment) while The Town fair tire is offering me BRIDGESTONE INSIGNIA SE200 for $72.00/tire (with 12.95 for balancing and front alignment INCLUDED). Which TIRE / DEAL should I go for? I will really appreciate any suggestions since I am completely new with this tire buying thing.
I had to buy tires last year and I went through the same thing. Since I don't know anything useful about the different tire brands, I started by looking at the tires in the price range I was limited to. Then from there, I looked at the warranty for each tire I looked at. I also checked my cars' manual to make sure I got the right size. Then, I looked at what was included. If the Bridgestone tires have a warranty you are comfortable with, I woudl go with those since the alignment is included. You woudl think the balancing would be included as well but every place has its' own deals. My car did not need an alignment when I bought the tires, and now that there are 20k miles on them, I still don't need one. To answer your original question, you need an alignment when you drive down a straight road and take your hands off the wheel, and your car does not continue moving straight. OR If you step on the brakes, the car tries to pull either left or right.
Q: Such as 175 / 70R14
