Q: how can we judge a tyre if its radial or not!
grease grease and more grease.
Q: Is the car tires easy to ignite?
Relatively easy to be lit, and now most of the main components of automotive tire materials is natural rubber or synthetic rubber, natural rubber, superior performance than synthetic rubber, so the use of high-grade tires natural rubber. In order for the rubber to have the required properties for the manufacture of the tire, it is necessary to penetrate the different chemical materials, namely chemical additives, in the rubber. One of the most important additives added is carbon black, because carbon has a special adsorption, carbon particles and rubber molecules are very good adhesion, making the rubber to enhance the hardness, strength and wear resistance. As the carbon black and rubber are essentially the same, the main material from the car tires is actually a composite of rubber and carbon black.
Q: 97Y What does it mean for car tires?
97 Y are the "load index" and "speed mark" respectively. 97 is the "load index" and Y is the "speed mark".
Q: tire is a michelin with 10K miles on it
Yes. You have what is called a slow puncture. You will be fine at low speeds (30 mph, etc), but get it changed ASAP. The last thing you need is a blow-out. This can happen at any time without warning and is likely at high speed, or with a lot of weight in the vehicle. Go to a back street garage and get a part worn tyre - it'll only cost you about ?20 and be a lot safer.
Q: The tires are bottom line bf goodrich
Tire noise is caused by the tread design not the price. A big knobby tread will be noisy.
Q: 24 hour tire shop
Go to tire rack, Big O is a TOTAL rip off, the one near the ho ho ho and taco bell. Look for a tire rack. I think its on sahara though
Q: throw out the rear tires, then rotate the front tires to the rear, then put new tires on the front?
It depends. Four new tires with regular rotation is the best option. However, it doesn't do much good to spend lots of money on tires that will last longer than the car. With an older car, buying cheap tires, two at a time, and rotating the old tires to the back is a good option. The back tires wear differently than the front tires (which is the reason for rotating your tires - it evens out the wear, extending the life of your tire). Front tires with some wear on the sides (due to cornering, etc) are perfectly fine on the rear. If you're really pushing the limit on your tires, you're risking a blow out. Losing a back tire in rush hour expressway traffic is usually much less stressful than losing one of the tires you're depending on for steering (modern tires have an inner tire that usually prevents a catastrophe, but only provided you don't overreact to having a tire blow out).
Q: are street bike tires bigger then mountain bike tires?
Road bike tyres are usually larger in diameter, but mountain bikes generally have wider tyres, giving more contact with the road and greater rolling resistance.
Q: What is the use of a yellow and red circle on the side of a car tire?
Hello, the main thing is the two roles: the valve and tire when installed inside and outside can distinguish. And then a role is the role of decoration, very good to see my personal feel that you want to answer to help you.
Q: The tires are Traction A and Temperature B, I need to drive where chains are required but I need to know can I drive my car with those tires with out chains??
I have never driven my car in Winter on All Season tires. I always install a good set of Winter tires. For that past few years that means Snow tires in all four wheels. The difference in heavy snow has been phenomenal. No matter how good an All Season tire is it will pack up with snow and be virtually useless in the heavy stuff whereas the tread on a proper Snow tire is designed to clear itself of snow and slush. When I travel I have to use airport rental cars and in most locales they do not mount Snow tires. And I hate them. They do not offer the traction required for safe Winter driving. And I would not dream of going into the mountains without a set of proper Winter tires.
