Q:The tricuspid valve is closed: a. during the rapid filling of the ventriclesb. when the mitral valve is openc. during ejection of blood from the ventriclesHelp plzThank you!
b, when the ventricle contracts the valve closes to prevent blood from moving back into the atrium.
Q:wife died at 40 still awaiting results of exsaminers report. Can CPR be given to some one with two artificial heart valves mitral and arotic? She the person administering CPR be aware that they are in the heart...
Yes, and it doesn't matter if there are artificial valves or not. The thing about CPR is that it's only done for someone who is actively trying to die. The alternative to doing CPR is to let someone pass away, which is not usually the best course of action (unless they have a terminal disease and have asked not to be resuscitated.) If you are asking whether the presence of heart valves excuses someone from NOT doing CPR... then no. If you are asking whether heart valves + CPR and a bad outcome is because CPR should not have been done, then no to that too. The right thing to do for someone who is pulseless is to start CPR, call 911 and get more definitive treatment on the way. CPR is not going to revive someone - it is only a bridge until a defibrillator and/or cardiac drugs are available. I'm sorry that you lost your wife at such a young age, and I hope you find the answers you are looking for.
Q:i bought thie air connector kit and it has y-valves, suction cups and air control valves, what are the air control valves for?
The air control valve is for doing exactly what the name implies: controlling the air flow. IT allows you to reduce and regulate the flow of air as needed. They are super handy on multi-tank systems where tanks with shorter air lines get more air and need to be turned down to equalize all the tanks. They are also handy if you are running multiple air stones or air driven decorations off the same pump as it allows you to adjust flow to each device so one it not overpowered and other lacking in flow. The air check valve is the one that prevents water from heading back down the line in a power failure. A air control valve could do this, but you would have to manually turn it to off so the water didn't flow back, where a check valve is automatic and needs no human intervention.
Q:ok so my 1993 bonneville started shaking and its smells like gas fumes in the car, so i cant drive it cause i have a newborn baby.so i took it to the dealership, they said codes 53,54,55,42,66 came up. they said i needed a new cadiletic converter, so i went to a local muffler shop. they said it was glowing cause it was so hot and said that wasnt the problem.i called the dealership back and they said they cleaned the egr vavle but said maybe it needs to be replaced, well before i spend any money i wanted to get everyones opinion, the car drive great, only shake when ur at idle. and smells awful inside uld this be the egr valve ?
Having the CC being cherry red is a bad sign- and I think that the muffler shop got that part wrong. If the smell is like rotten eggs, the converter is definitely bad. Going by the codes, they are all the fuel mixture- and I would think that the cause might be the starting problem with the CC (I'd fix the problem first, the CC might just be OK). A lean burn condition will set all the codes you are finding, except the 66 (A/C pressure sending unit). It is going to sound kind of funny, but I would start with the fuel filter (just change it, they are cheap but can be a pain) and after that I would pop can the EGR to lock it out and see if the problem goes away- don't leave it like this, the thing is needed for the engine to run properly: Take the EGR off the engine- two 1/2 inch bolts on either side. Cut the ends off a pop can and cut it to fit the EGR and the bolt holes, and put it in between the manifold and the EGR and bolt everything back up. If the problem goes away, it is the EGR system back feeding exhaust into the intake at too low of RPM's. You still might find that the convertor is bad- that much heat melts the guts of the thing and creates back pressure that the engine cannot handle- just try the other two first just in case, the convertor is expensive.
Q:My car (RWD) has vacuum leak and has the code PO171/PO174. I find some engine oil at the bolt well of the valve cover on the bank 2 side. Can the vacuum leak come from the valve cover? What is the main function of the valve cover? Thanks.
there is no vacuum in the valve cover. the vacuum is in the intake the valve cover is leaking oil. the valve cover covers the rocker arms.
Q:Electric Hot Water Tank Pressure Release Valve Leaking, Why?
They build up mineral deposits on the valve seat sometimes that will cause them to leak.Try lifting the lever to open it completely then flip it closed. That will sometimes clean the seat and stop the leaking. It might take two or three tries. If that doesn't stop the leak then you'll need to replace the valve.
Q:When my son was three I switched Dr's for him. The new doctor said has he always had a heart murmur I said no that's the first I've heard of it so we went for test. Anyway heart specialist did all tests said my son had Bav a valve disorder in the heart. He said it is very common. However everyone I've ever talked to has never heard of it. My question is does anyone have this what is your story and have you had to have your valve replaced. My son is very healthy active I'm just worried. Any help would be greatly appreciated....thank you!!
As long as the action of the valve is normal and child is otherwise active and healthy with normal cardiac functions, mile stones, and growth, you can almost forget about the anomaly.
Q:My cougar needs new EGR valve. They squeezed the 4.6 litre engine into it. My question is, how hard is it to get out and then back in? I can barely see the top of it behind the intake manifold so don't want to get it off and not be able to get it back in. What size bolts hold it in? I'm sure they are metric. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Go to a library that carries the ALLDATA data base. This amazing system has all information you will ever need. Even secret recall campaigns can be found here. Anyways, you are wasting your money to replace the EGR valve. For the most part, they can just be cleaned out with a solvent like Gum-out or butyl cello-solve and returned to service. Usually, these valves get gummed up when the IAC valve is dirty or you are using cheap gas and/or cheap oil. You are right about being metric, but a 13mm is the same as a 1/2 inch. A 14mm is the same as a 9/16 inch. You can even clean this valve by using Amsoil Foaming Cleaner through the intake manifold with the engine running full warm. Eventaully, this cleaner will penetrate the valve and allow it to close. You can tap it lightly with a mallet. Follow with a Gum-out chaser. Good luck!!
Q:The hot water in my bathroom is leaking from the faucet. I've shut off the valve below the sink, but it continues to dribble out. Also, there appears to be some rust build-up. Could that account for a failing valve?
It sounds like you have some lime build up in the valves if you can't shut them off or the rubber gaskets inside the valves are worn. Valves are made of brass which doesn't rust. only steel and iron rust. Try tightening the packing nut. That's the nut just below the shut off valve handle. If that doesn't work shut the warter off at the water heater and take the valve apart. First remove the handle from the stem with a screw driver, next remove the packing nut (usually 7/16) then put the handle back on a turn it counter clockwise. Inspent the valve stem, valve seat and the rubber gasket or washer for wear. If you see any lime build up (it will be a hard white substance) remove it with Lime Away or one of those brands. It the valve is very old you may have to replace it. If you own the house replace the valve with a quarter turn ball valve, They are more expensive, but will last a lot longer.
Q:ive had my yz250f for more than a year and i havent had the valves adjusted......it still starts up in under 5 kicks and rides great.......are there any signs that indicate you need your valves adjusted besides not being able to start it?
You'll hear the valves ticking. It will sound like a box of BBs clanking around in the top of the engine. Treat your engine to a valve adjustment and it will give you a long life, without any expensive engine repairs.
