Q:Help in grounding a two wire outlet?
better to spend eight dollars and replace it with a GFCI outlet. It will protect every outlet downstream of it if you can determine which one is first. use the labels on all protected outlets.
Q:How do you wire an outlet?
Hi There, Here is the proper way to wire a receptacle: Before starting the very first thing to do before wiring is to make sure the power is turned off at the breaker box. First: The bare (or green) ground wire goes to the green screw terminal on the receptacle. Second: The white (neutral) wire goes to the bright metal screw terminal on the receptacle . Third: The black (hot) wire goes to the brass screw terminal on the receptacle. Finally after the wires are connected and are tight; carefully position the receptacle back inside the box and tighten the two receptacle screws. Then replace the cover plate and turn the circuit breaker back on and plug a lamp or something in to test your work. Hope this helps, Al
Q:Wire compressor to 240V?
Go to any store that sells them and look at the manual. Better still, Google for the manual.
Q:ok my coil wont fire everyone keeps saying trace the wires all the wires are gone?
+ wire is power wire the other small wire from the coil go's into the distributor (the metal part not the cap) the big wire to the cap.. sometimes the power wire comes from a resistor that reduces the voltage
Q:Hidden Electrical Wires?
Most wire is run in the middle of the 2X4 stud, that places it about 1 ½” from the finished surface, so use screws or nails that are less than 1 ¼” long. I’m not sure what you are trying to achieve. There are some really good adhesives out there, so you might want to consider gluing your wires to the wall and avoid any risk of hitting wires. There are detectors available to find wires in walls. Some stud sensor makes that claim, but my experience is that they are not reliable for wires. Wire tracers that locate wires in the wall are very expensive and difficult to find. A specialty shop that carries equipment for telephone technicians would have them, not most home centres.
Q:Magnetism question on current carrying wires?
i'm uncertain we've a sparkling theoretical answer to this although that is a demonstrable fact that shifting quotes have an effect on different shifting or movable quotes.even while there's no internet value obtrusive it is summarized as magnetism
Q:automotive electrical wires?
Depends on what your hooking up? Look at the unit where the wires go in and there may be a +(hot) or -(ground) marking, and the ground wire is usually black and the hot is usually red, orange or yellow.
Q:How do I hook up a aftermarket stereo to my 91 corolla without using a wire harness adapter?
The green illumination wire controlled the dimming on the factory stereo, but it will only apply if your tuner has the same feature. If it doesn't then just put a crimp cap on it and stow it out of the way. As for the white/blue wire, I'm not sure. If you pick up a wiring diagram, such as found in the Hanes manual, it will give you the breakdown. Not all the wiring in your car needs to be hooked up, just the ones that operate the tuner's functions and audio; if everything works and there's no left over wiring from your tuner's wiring bundle, then you don't need that white/blue wire. Crimp it off and tie it up to the bundle. This should be applicable to your year: Radio Constant 12V+ Wire: Blue/Yellow Radio Switched 12V+ Wire: Gray Radio Ground Wire: Brown Radio Illumination Wire: Green Radio Dimmer Wire: N/A Radio Antenna Trigger Wire: N/A Radio Amp Trigger Wire: N/A Front Speakers Size: 4″ Front Speakers Location: Dash Left Front Speaker Wire (+): Pink Left Front Speaker Wire (-): Purple Right Front Speaker Wire (+): Purple Right Front Speaker Wire (-): Light Green Rear Speakers Size: 4″ Rear Speakers Location: Rear Deck Left Rear Speaker Wire (+): Black Left Rear Speaker Wire (-): Yellow Right Rear Speaker Wire (+): Red Right Rear Speaker Wire (-): White
Q:Radio ignition wire burnt out??
There are two hot radio wires in that ram. One is the hot all the time memory back up wire and the other is the ignition accessory switched wire. If that wire is burnt out ?? you had to have one heck of a short in the radio and a way too big of a fuse in the circuit. That circuit is fused at 3Amps and the back-up uses a 1Amp fuse. If it is the acc. switched wire to the radio that is fried, I would suspect that the audio outputs are shorted. There just is not much else in there to draw that kind of current. A new wire from the radio to the fuse block sure won't fix the problem with out clearing the short first. Any way, it just runs from the radio to the radio fuse.
