Q: n my water pump hoses feels like theres no pressure
well before you go through a task like that have u checked for opther options? check it out- First: make sure that your radiator is in good condition, check the belts, the hoses and the coolant level. Make sure that there is no coolant leaks. Check the condition of the shroud for cracks its proper installation. Car fluid or coolant circuit element just changed: Your overheating is probably due to air trapped into the coolant circuit. Use the bleed screw to bleed the circuit. Then bleed again, again, again and again. Nothing had been changed, car is overheating while idling or heavy traffic: 1. Check that the thermostat works and opens. 2. Check the fan clutch. Car overheating while driving. Not stop and go. 1. Bleed the cooling circuit. 2. Check the thermostat. 3. Check the water pump. 4. On the 535i, check the bypass hose located and attached just above the upper hose neck on radiator and runs along the inner walls to the Resivior tank. If it is plugged, the car will overheat. Overheating with A/C on, or very high temperature only. 1. Check that the auxiliary fan is working properly(Bentley manual page 170-4). 2. Check the fan clutch.
Q: My family has a vacation home on the bay side of a small island off the coast of Texas. The house has a water well and uses an electric pump housed in a pump house underneath the structure, which is up on stilts. The house is infrequently used and with the seaside conditions the pump has corroded and will not start automatically. What do I need to do to clean it up so it will function? I do not believe that the motor is damaged.
the problem with the pump not running will be the motor only.....most likely the motor rotor has rusted to the winding core of the motor ....soak it down with wd40 on the inside ...should be vent holes to spray wd40 in...try to find some way to turn rotor ....on some pumps there is a screwdriver slot on the end of the motor...if it still wont run take it to shop
Q: I have a Honda 20003 bf15 d short shaft Ineed to change the water pump I have removed the 5 bolts that hold the lower unit it on but the shifter is steal hooked up how doI unhook that?
Please get the workshop manual. From an imperfect memory it should be in forward gear to expose a link - but I could be confusing it with other brands. This brand has a known issue with the water pump if ever run dry as both the impellor and the housing can be damaged instantly. The pump should always be replaced as a full assembly, housing, seals and impellor, as detritus can easily block water galleries and that requires extensive work to remediate. The thermostat should be checked and replaced at the same time. Worn and damaged impellor material can easily end up through the block, head, thermostat etc. and that must be checked for as well. The lower cylinder can be down on compression caused by local overheating due to this and mud, sand and corrosion reducing water flow. An engine that very much must be flushed and looked after after all use - that includes all the larger models with this brand. They are quite a good engine, but seem very heavy for the output to me - particularly compared to lifting a two stroke on and off....
Q: I need to replace a water pump
Just take off the fan belt, unbolt the water pump and fit the new one. Make sure the gasket area is clean and use a new gasket. If it has the fan on it, take that off first.
Q: or how do i remove the water pump?please xplain
You need to get the large nut lose. It holds the fan/fan clutch to the water pump shaft. After you get that off it's all down hill from there.A large adjustable wrench will work on the nut but you will need to keep pump from turning to loosen it. I think it may be left hand thread. It is not on real tight. The book will help on this one.
Q: I'm having problems with my washer not filling, instead water is going directly out the drain. i want to see if something could be stuck in the pump. I have never looked at one before so I am not exactly sure what to look for. If you'd like you can see my previous post regarding this issue iv'e been dealing with all day. I dont have the money to hire a professional so I am trying like heck to figure it out myself. Thanks
im residing able now that in case you dont get the pump emptied each and every 6-9 months the water starts off to over flow in the lavatory it backs up in the sink and the nasty lavatory water comes up in the bathtub tub. It feels like your septic the only different element you're able to do is pat the extra funds and function it converted to city sewers as a substitute of properly. sturdy success
Q: Here is the deal...*Van over heats*Blows Cold quot;heatquot;*Coolant leaks (not into the oil)*Added coolant and water (nothing happened)*Started van, felt the hoses (no h2o flowing thru)Ive had this problem for a while. Some times my van drives just fine and heats just fine, then some days it wants to over heat and blow cool quot;heatquot;. Adding coolant to my van used to do the trick, but now its not working. If it is my thermostat that is broke, the water/coolant would still run through the hoses right?I really think its my water pump out, but I am not sure. Does this sound like my water pump? If so, I plan on changing it myself, how do i find step by step instructions to do so.... I have never done it before, but I cant afford to take it to a mechanic! Thanks for your help!
Again, see last answer to your same question. You obviously dont know what the real problem is, could be water pump and might not be. Instead of wasting over 25.00 on a water pump and that not being the problem, why dont you take it to a reputable repair facility and have the cooling system analyzed and they can tell you EXACTLY what part(s) need replacing, then go from there. Nobody can diagnose your cooling system problem over the internet since we are not at your vehicle with a coolant pressure tester and block test tool.
Q: Engine problem 1999 Nissan Sentra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 165000 miles ---------------------------------------------------------------- I have a leaking water pump that has to be replaced. I am calling around getting prices and some people tell me that I have to do the timing chain at the same time and that will be a great deal more money. Can I just replace the water pump? It seems that the water pump only will be about 200.00 but both could be 500.00. Please help
You can replace the water pump and not do the timing chain. Timing chains are not designed to need replacing. If it is a belt then changing the water pump is halfway to changing the belt, so I would go ahead and do that because 165000 is a lot of miles on a belt that was probably changed at 60 to 75,000 miles. And it should not be $500.00 if the water pump was only $200.
Q: Leaks right under the water pumpOf my truck ford f-150
The leaking water is telling you that the pump impellor is worn and you need a new pump. Sealed Unit, cant be repaired.
Q: Okay, i have a 1997 dodge stratus with a 2.4l motor, recently i was out early in the morning when i heard what sounded like a loud whining noise, i quickly pulled over and killed the motor. Turns out the teeth were stripped off the timing belt and the water pump busted. How much would this cost to get it fixed, and what is the possibility the engine may be damaged? Also would it be worth fixing it, or just selling it for parts? Oh yeah, the car has 176k miles
Non- interference engine.Meaning no damage. repair it. 100% guess here Parts: Pump / T-belt / Tensioner,Coolant - $140 your cost -200 shop Labor : 3 hours/Or free rate of difficulty 1--10 -5-
