Q:How to use ordinary drill drill on the tiles to hang things hanging?
Ordinary drill can, but must use a metal head of the hole drill (hardware store to sell). First with the tools to drill the center of the porcelain glaze broken, cracked on the line to facilitate the drill bit positioning, and will not slip on the tile, 6mm above the hole do not hit a bit, According to the required aperture and then drill again, the hole will not be broken.
Q:okay so im a dancer, but i never really bothered to try tap. but since this year the company im on says i have to. I bought my shoes yesterday and i have to practice like crazy in two days because that when i start.:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::MAIN POINT!but i noticed the tile in my house is uneven like some of the corners and the sides come up and and really pointy(and sharp). IS IT BAD TO TAP ON UNEVEN TILE??WILL IT MESS UP MY TAP SHOES?
itll scrape the metal and with the taps tile is VERY SLIPPERY!!! so beware!!!
Q:I have some ceramic tiles in my kitchen floor that I would like to paint. Would this be possible?
It is possible to paint tiles. Both Dulux and Crown offer Tile Specific paints in a small range range of colours. However this is meant more for bathroom wall tiles or kitchen splash back wall tiles. I would not advice this for floor tiles as with time this paint will scratch off etc due to traffic. Ronseal do a floor paint that they class as 'diamond hard' though again depending on the glaze and material of the floor tile this might still be unsuitable. Your bast bet would be to lino over the existing tiles or rip up and put down new ones. If we can help in any way please visit our website....
Q:My fireplace is non-working and it is made of ugly red tile that looks dirty and has pen marks on it from previous owner's kids. I want to paint it to update the look. What would Fleck Stone paint look like?
Why not buy a similiar tile from Home Depot or Lowes and do a test. If you like the results then do the fireplace. Much easier this way and if you do not like it no great loss of time and money
Q:It‘s something I really want to do, I find myself longing for it often. Tile or ceramic, not sure yet. But, my house is 1485 square feet and I‘m wondering if anyone has a ball park estimate for what price range I‘m looking at! I know different variables like tile vs ceramic, etc, but just looking for a range if anyone can help. Thanks!
You can count on paying $7 to $12 a square foot depending on material. Thats just basic flooring, if you want anything high end, then expect to pay more accordingly
Q:Marco Polo tiles have several manufacturers
Marco Polo In fact, the quality is generally the main advertising is good they are basically in the production of others and then marked their own brand in several parts of the country have produced in Shandong, Shandong
Q:standard terracotta tiles
I'm not certain what the dimensions of a 'standard terracotta' tile that you mention are but... we have a Spanish style roof, utilizing what is called Spanish Mission Tile, in which the tiles are semicircular in cross section and about 6 inches wide, by about 20 inches long. It is the type of tile that requires one column of tile INVERTED with the concave face upward, and the next column [on both sides] with the concave side down covering the edges of the adjacent up-curved tiles. The Mission tiles are NOT the kind in which one tile provides both the under' and over'' portion in a single tile. Our Mission tiles weigh 5 pounds each and we have 3,500 on our roof which totals out to roughly 17,500 pounds on a house of about 2,000 sqft. We [My father, Mother, myself (12 yoa), and my brother (8 yoa)] installed this roof ourselves back in 1954 and although it wasn't complicated, it was a whole lot of hard work. It took us almost an entire summer to do it. You may be able to get more info from the manufacturer from who we buy replacement tiles. It is the D'hannis [Sp?] tile company located at Hondo, Texas, which is west of San Antonio.
Q:Is there any one who have knowledge about Ceremic tiles? plz suggest me.
Ceramic tile are great for both wall tile and floor tile applications, they're softer and easier to cut than other tile products. Find out how you can find hardwood flooring at good prices.
Q:I heard that ceramic tiles absorb water and we have ceramic tile in the downstairs bedroom. After I wash the tile floor how long do I wait until I can move our dressers and furniture back on the tile? Because once I bring in the dressers I don‘t think the tiles will have a chance to dry because it is fully covered by the dressers, right?
it depends on the ventilation in the room tiles will dry quickly because they do NOT absorb water
Q:I want to put vinyl tiles on my pre-existing ceramic tiles but in some areas there is no ceramic tiles and I need something to fill in the gap to make my floors even when I put on the vinyl tile. What should I use? Then when my floors are even how do i put my tiles?
If you insist on installing vinyl tiles over the ceramic....first you need to abrade the surface of the ceramic, then you need a high quality floor leveler, such as Ardex to skim over the entire floor and fill in the grout joints. In the areas without tiles, you can use plywood to build up to the level of the existing tile. Make sure to skim over the plywood joints as well. Hopefully, you are not using the peel and stick tiles, because over time they do not stay stuck to the floor. Use the dry back and put the adhesive on the floor, and the tile in the glue. Just remember - your new floor is only as good as the floor under it...best to rip up the ceramic.
