Q:Hey can some1 help me, on my lamp i have a White, a Yellow wire with tints of green in it and a black wire. on my cord that i am going to plug in is a Blue, brown and a yellow wire
US wiring uses black as hot, white as neutral, and green or yellow/green as ground. European (IEC) wiring uses brown as hot, blue as neutral and green/yellow as ground. Your connections would be black to brown, white to blue, and yellow/green to yellow. Don
Q:I'm looking to install a ceiling fan in a fixture that recently had just a light (no idea if it ever had a fan). When I removed the old light, I found that there were three white wires from the ceiling twisted together and connected to the white wire on the light fixture, one black wire from the ceiling connected to the black wire on the fixture, and three black and one white ceiling wires just capped together, not connected to the light fixture.Any idea what the last 4 wires are? I would think that I just need to leave them alone, however, I have to replace the box in the ceiling with one that is rated for a fan, which means I need to (temporarily) disconnect them. I have the breaker turned off that turned the light off, but can I be 100% sure that power to those other 4 wires if also off?
You don't have to know what they are, but other anwers are good esp with regard to safety. You can choose either to leave them alone or disconnect them and reconnect them inside your new ceiling box. If you want to disconnect them, be sure to mark all the cables first so you can't make a mistake when you reconnect them.
Q:I have a Hunter 5 minute fan. I have four wires coming from my ceiling. Red, Black, White, and Bare Copper. The Fan has a Green Wire, Black Wire, White WIre,and a Black/White striped Wire. The Ceiling Plate also has green wire. I know to connect the black to black, red to black/white striped, white to white. But for the green and copper wires, do I connect the copper wire from the ceiling to the green wire in the ceiling plate and also to the green wire from the fan?

Q:I have a 2000 Mazda 626, and I am replacing the factory stereo with a Sony CDX-GT66UPW, I tried replacing it earlier and had to cut off the end plastic pieces for the original stereo wires and stripped the wires, So now I am trying to match up the wires from the new stereo with the old colors, But I don't know what color goes to what on the mazda? Can anyone give me a color coded diagram for the wiring?
In okorder /... There's a pretty good chance you'll need to replace a blown fuse in the vehicle's fuse box, too, especially if you cut all the wires together instead of one at a time.
Q:i bought a wiring kit off OKorder it was a bullz 4 gauge kit. and i am running a rockford 500.2 n its rated for 700+ watts. so do you think my cheaper wiring kit is affecting performance? should i go snag up some bigger power wire for more power to run through it or is tht not how it wokrs?
if your wire is truly 4 gauge you will have no problems.the problem is some of the 'no name' wire companies over rate their wire.they will sell 6 or 8 gauge wire as 4 gauge. go to a car stereo shop and ask to see a piece of 4 gauge wire. if it way bigger than what you have you may want to upgrade.
Q:I need someone's help on wiring my new JVC radio to its harness for a 1991 Chevrolet S10. Please Ty very much.

Q:I am getting these 2 CVR 12's 4 ohm dvc and i am wiring them for a 2 ohm load (parallel). When you run a wire from voice coil 1 positive to voice coil 2 positive, then to amp. and the same for negative, what is the wire that is connecting the voice coils? is it a power wire, ground wire, speaker wire? please help!
Wire is just wire. Power wire = ground wire = speaker wire. So technically you can use anything to have that jumper wires. You can parallel EACH driver to have a 2 ohm load, but if you're wiring them to a monoblock, you can only get either a 1, 4, or 16 ohm load (do not go for 16, lol). You can get a 2 ohm load for the amp if its 2 channels and you plug each speaker like you said to a channel.
Q:i think i messed up the wiring to my headunit. its not the wiring going into the headunit, there is no power from the wires. how much should it cost to get the wires checked out and fixed somewhere?
is it the factory radio? what type of vehicle? are the wires cut?
