Q: *Is there
I use compressed air and something thin to reach/break apart the bigger pieces. I find it more efficient to pick out the bigger pieces of dust.
Q: I am looking to buy a good, inexpensive hand-held vacuum cleaner for a friend who lives in a dorm at college. Her room doesn't have any carpeting (except for a rug), but the floor is not very clean. I know a lot of the ones I have looked at on the Target and Walmart sites are around $20. Are they any good? Which brand(s) do you prefer, and where can I find them? Please be specific! Thanks!
I work in a vacuum sales/repair shop and I believe the Dirt Devil classic or ultra vac are your best choices. They are bagless/bagged units. They are NOT cordless. They only corless I sell, is a high power unit for about $70. The DD will run about 40-60.
Q: Are hoovers too strong, what has workked for you?-thanks
You can buy miniature vacuum cleaners hat are USB powered to use on your keyboard, but the ?2.99 one I bought didn't have that much power to be of any use. An actual cleaner with the crevice nozzle (or upholstery nozzle if it's a powerful beast) would do fine, Alternatively, you can buy cans of compressed air that have a thin straw on the end. This can be put inbetween the keys to blast muck out. Only pop off keys if you remember where they go. Note that laptop keyboards and some other types of keys (Generally the ones that don't make a 'click' sound when pressed) don't clip straight on and could be damaged by removing them the wrong way.
Q: why do we use the word vacuum? is a vacuum created inside the appliance?
Fan blades turned by a motor create a suction (partial vacuum' inside the machine which sucks up the dirt. It's similar to you drinking a liquid with a straw. You stick one end of the straw into the liquid and suck on the other end. You create a vacuum inside the straw and it sucks up the liquid to fill the empty space (vacuum).
Q: I have a Eureka Whirlwind (canister vacuum cleaner). I have probably had it for 4 years or so. Sometimes it quot;spitsout garbage from the canister. Should a vacuum cleaner last only 4 years? Or maybe the belt needs to be changed? Any ideas?
Sounds like it jsut needs to have some filters changed or perhaps a tune up. Vacuums will not last decades as another person stated, but they should last around 5-10 years if properly maintained. If you have pets it will not last as long since the additional hair will burn out the motor quicker.
Q: Have about $400 Bucks spending money. I want to clean my whole apartment. Need to upgrade from old vacuum and old mops. But there are so many cleaning machines out there which one are the best ? PLEASE HELP. THANKS FOR READING. Don't have to answers all just the one you know would be awesome. Things i need.Best hand held steamers - For Bathrooms walls and kitchens oil stains.Best vacuum for dust - For hardwood and carpetBest steam mop - For HardwoodBest hand held hand vacuum- For pet hair and spilled salt or sugar.Last and the most important, Best deep Vacuum Cleaners that uses water and soap - For carpets, i have a cat that pees every where. =(
I got a Shark. It is fantastic. They are around $200 and worth every penny. Then get a Swiffer and you've got it made. (Swiffer is cheap.)
Q: They are just sitting around my bedrooms. How do I hide them away?
In a closet.=)
Q: I mean money. Our company pay based on how many clients we sign. The top sales persons can sign 3 person per day on average. And that is $40 Australian dollars per sign. On my first day, I signed one customer successfully, but my boss told me that he had a problem with my working attitude. Now let's do that maths, we work 10 hours per day, and if we sign 3 people, that is $120/ 10 hours, that is $12/hour. If we are not lucky, (just like my quot;bosson that day), we could only sign 2 people, then it's $80/ 10 hours, that is $8 per hour. To compare, the a waiter in China town earns $8 per hour. And if I am not lucky, I can only sign one person, that is $4 per hour.I am not very happy with the pay and the quot;bossis having problem with my working attitude --- he wants me to work harder. Well I am currently in uni, let's be realistic, can I find a job with better pay than this? Should I leave the job or not?I have to reply to my boss if I want the job or not by tonight. Thanks
tell your boss to get screwed!!! thats so low its not funny!!!!
Q: are canister vacuum cleaners good brands?so where are they for sale online
We have used several vacuums over the years..The one that does best is the Rainbow..They are more expensive..but they really work.. the dust stays in the container.
Q: My vacuum cleaner is broken and I was just thinking what did people use before vacuum cleaners? random question I know but it just popped into my head.
You poor thing. From what I can remember, a lot of people used brooms.....yes brooms. Or they would take them outside and hang then over a rope or something and beat on them to get the dirt out of them or just shake them outside. I know this is wall to wall and that would be impossible.
