- Q: Im only 22 yrs old so Im still domestically challenged. Im going to be buying a vacuum and I dont know what to look for.. meaning watts n such... someone please help
- Most will say there 12 amp. And because thats as high as they can go anyway. Look for one with an easy to change bag or a bagless. I think I spent $70 on my bagless and it works great
- Q: I am apparently having some media trust issues--commercials are DESIGNED to get us to Buy their products, and the company , if called up on will say the BEST things...so I depend on consumer experience to decide upon a number of items! I interviewed at least a dozen folks when looking for my car, at grocery lots and gas pumps, and when 100% were thrilled with their automobile, that did it for me and what the salesman said was just confirmed by my own research.Over the years I have had a dozen electric floor sweepers, and none of them have been the 'cat's pajamasquot;! So, has anyone actually HAD a Dyson, ball rolling mechanism cleaner and if so, has it justified it's $400.00 dollar price tag in your estimation? How as the suction performed and has it stayed reliable? Any details will be helpful! Thanks!
- I've had a Dyson for over 4 years now and love it just as much now as I did when I bought it. It isn't a ball model, but it works great for us. It never loses suction as the ads state. The only part I've needed to replace is the filter and that was because I sucked up drywall dust and when I cleaned the filter it turned to sludge. I bought mine as a store floor model and it was 1/2 price (around $250). I highly recommend buying the Dyson. I have seen them cheaper than $400 on OKorder.
- Q: Hi all,Bought a Kirby Vacuum Cleaner yesterday as they claimed it picked up 99.5% of the dirt compared to what's on today's market, which picks up 5%. But for those of them who have them at home, did you find them better than what you had previously?
- Hi, yes, I've had a Kirby vacuum for years.. I love it! My parents had one too, while I was growing up and the carpet looked great! I think that's one of the best investments my family and I've made. Good luck!
- Q: Sears just had a sale on vacuum cleaners and I got their progressive upright model 35923 with the quot;intelicleansystem. This is the one highly rated by Consumer Reports.I used it for a few days, and it seemed okay, except the inteliclean system would start acting weird after about 30 minutes of use. It would slip into the highest-power mode and get quot;stuckthere. Even on areas that it previously went over and sensed as clean. I could temporarlily fix it by switching out of carpet mode, then back in, but after a while it would get stuck again.Swapped it for another one, and the sales associate tells me to NOT USE the inteliclean system the first few times I vacuum. When I ask why, she says quot;I don't know what the reason is, we're just supposed to tell the customers thatquot;. Sounds pretty strange to me. There's nothing in the manual about it.Has anyone else gotten this advice from Sears regarding their inteliclean equipped vac? If so, what's the reason for it?
- take it back and get another vac. it has a problem, a friend has one and it doesnot do that, the sales man sounds like he knows nothing and cares less.
- Q: i was cleaning my pc with with a vacuum ( wich im already doing for years)and before i know my pc would't startup when i pressed the power button i connected my power SW (switch) and reset SW and speakers to my motherboardnow my pc will start but after i get my first ASUS screen it just shuts down???? everytime again.....this is what i already tried to do : unplug 1 RAM card see if my cpu fan was properely attached to motherboard changing the POWER SW and the RESET SW from positions and it still doesn't want to work ???Please help me i would appreciate that.greets Jason Dewaide
- That's a big NO-NO... Vacuum cleaners create tons of static electricity which can damage computer components, especially graphics cards, processors and even motherboards. Only clean a computer with canned compressed air for electronics, never use a vacuum cleaner.
- Q: Does Panasonic make vacuum cleaners for Kenmore?
- Most Kenmore vacuums are made by Panasonic (Matsushita Electric Corporation of America).
- Q: Ok I have a eureka whirwind vacuum cleaner and whenever I use the hose and take it out of the hole and turn the vacuum on dust shoots out of the hole and i have to turn it back off because there is no point in using it if its just gonna shoot the dust back out! Does anyone know what the problem could be or what i could do to fix this? Any help would be highly appreciated!
- dust cup or bag full check the hose for an obstruction
- Q: Which came first, wall-to-wall carpeting or vacuum cleaners?
- Carpeting, obviously. The vacuum couldn't come until LONG after the discovery of electricity. We have proof of carpeting before that, but not with such high pile.
- Q: how many brands are there except Shark navigator?have u tried them? are they really easy?
- The okorder /... I believe that Hoover originated the lift off design a few years ago. I've not used this one, but I have seen it kicking around warehouse retailers when was first released. To be honest, I think that the lift off canister design is far more hype than actually useful - regardless of the brand name. The theory of a smaller, portable vacuum is good, no doubt, but having to carry/hold the vacuum in one hand while you operate it with the other kind of defeats the purpose.
- Q: Hello! I was wondering if Vacuum cleaners get rid of germs. I mean, when I think about it, doesn't it probably suck all the germs up? Perhaps it may not kill germs, but it at least gets rid of them on a particular surface(like the carpet.)And if they don't get rid of germs, than how can I get rid of germs on the carpet? I know that Steam Cleaning and shampooing the carpet are good measures, but I don't want to do that on like a weekly basis. I am looking for something that can get rid of germs at least once a week.
- clorox came out with a product recently that is like their hard surface sanitizer but for fabrics. I like it and use it probably once a week on everything ( mattress, carpets, etc) It does however say that over time it may lead to fading of dark fabrics so beware.
