Q:Hey everyone, i have a streetbike, and have seen some pics of people who have painted the inner treading of their tires with colored paint- there are some people on ebay selling these paint markers for this purpose but i was wondering if you can just get them at rite aid or home depot? anyone done this or have any advice? appreciate it in advance!
I agree I wouldnt put anything on my motorcycle tires because of safety concerns. However, Autozone sells tire paint markers. The paint markers are available at Autozone they look like the Tide stain marker. There are two colors on the website but I have seen around 6 different colors in the store. You could also check out Genuine auto parts the one here has 9 different colors stocked in tubs.
Q:I have been looking for an air compressor for my motorcycle‘s tires. The problem that I always find is that all of the tire compressors I see out there need a 12V power outlet. Does anyone know any compressors that could be re-charged or plug in the wall and do not use the 12V outlet?I don‘t have a car so I am looking for something that would work without the 12V power outlet. Thanks!
All I use is a bike pump when I'm at home and gas station compressors when I'm out and about. With a hand pump, you don't even need an outlet at all. They are cheap, they last forever, and you can bring them to the park to pump up soccer balls and basket balls when you need to.
Q:I recently needed new tires for my ‘08 Ninja 250 and got a good deal online for Kenda Cruiser K671 tires. What I didnt see though is that they were cruiser tires not sports tires. The person who did the labor on installing the tires was freaking me out and yelling saying that I should have bought his tires and he hopes I dont die from buying the worst tires ever off the internet. Sooo with that said, is it ok to put cruiser tires on a sports bike?
Kenda makes cheap hard compound tires that I would not use on anything. Most cruisers use an H rated tire good for up to 130MPH. Your 250 ninja isnt going to exceed that MPH! However with that tire you should NOT attempt any hard cornering! If you try to corner hard with your knee to the pavement it will lose its grip! Ride easy and you will be OK. By the way a 250 is no sport bike!
Q:what would be the correct tyre pressure for a motorcycle?
usually this number will be posted on the swingarm, and or on the side wall of the tire.
Q:What is the benefit of motorcycle tires wide
the direction of control than the original tire sensitivity is not high.
Q:is it illegal to ride side by side on motorcycles in the state of arizona, someone told me you can get a ticket, but i see people do it all the time, i know you can stagger front tire to the persons in front back tire but can we ride side by side
Arizona law on the subject: www.azleg /search/oop/qfullhit. You may ride next to each other, but you may not pass - even another motorcycle. Splitting: BETWEEN lanes Sharing: side-by-side IN SAME lane Sharing requires the consent of BOTH riders. While lane sharing is permitted in many states, I only do it at low speed (such as stop and go in town traffic) - or with the one person I trust at speed. Staggered is preferred at speed. Front wheel next to rear is not quite staggered, and is not much safer than fully side-by-side. Lane splitting is allowed where it has not been made illegal (like anything else). The only state I am aware of that has not done so is California. (I do not know the laws in every state, I find them as I need them)
Q:what size car tires can i put on my 1950 ford 8n with oem rims in thefront?
If I remember from the one I had 40 some years ago they were 6.70 x15 which is the obsolete numbers but maybe that will give you a lead to what you need. Your best choice is to DAGS for Ford tractor clubs in your area. There are many antique tractor clubs in the US.
Q:I might be buying a motorcycle that is thirty years old, and the tires are original. The tires only have 8,400 kilometers on them, and they are in great shape, but are old. Would WD-40 soften up the tires? Thanks.Sincerely,William
You have one course of action when you buy this motorcycle. REPLACE THE TIRES. WD-40 will not soften the tires. WD-40 will make the low traction rock hard tires even more slippery. Then when you go down, your motorcycle will no longer be in great shape. If you can't afford the tires, reconsider the purchase.
