- Q:Found a very old wooden chair from what I think could be the 1900s. Do you know what type of chair this is called?...how would I look it up to know its worth. The bottom of the chair has a GB or CB stamp on it. Would you know how much somthing like this would go for? Thanks :)

- Q:i have these wooden chairs that have dried peeling paint i need to get off so i can stain them. there is no varnish or stain i can see, just old paint. Is sanding it off the best way to go? are there sanders small enough to get into the corners and grooves? i am pregnant, so chemicals are not an option. thank you!
- For the corners and grooves just fold the sand paper and rub into the corners. They do have citrus based strippers that you can use afetr most of the sanding is done. Just apply and scrub with an old toothbrush. Use steel wool to remove and wipe the piece down with isoproyl alcohol before refinishing.
- Q:Im trying to lower my office chair but it is different then my last one. My last one had some lever that you just puch and your weight will lower it like hydralics, but this chair is different it dont have that lever the only thing it has is some type of knob that turn at the bottom. I tried that and nothing happens does anyone know how to lower these types of chairs?
- My guess is the paddle that adjusts this either broke fell out or was somehow removed. Flip your chair over and you will find the manufacturer, model and serial number this will help you re-order also look for a place that the paddle would fit into by the cylinder and lastly the knob you' re referring to is most likely a tilt tension knob and if this is the case your chair should certainly have a height adjustment.

- No I don't really like gliders. I was fortunate enough to be given not one but two nice old rocking chairs. I can honestly say I haven't used either one very much though! I almost always nurse the baby on the couch with a nursing pillow, or in bed laying down.

- but these types of chairs are amazing... instead of sitting you kneel, but it doesn't hurt your knees, because you are also resting your body weight on the seat. I found that sitting 9 hours a day, this helps my back and also allows me to move around my desk area more... Many different companies sell these types of chairs at various prices and qualities.. I recommend trying one out! :)
- Q:I have received a swivel chair, but it is too low to be used at my desk... I don't want to put a cushion on it because it is a massaging and heating one lol..
- It would help to see the chair. I dont believe that part controls the height of the chair. Typically it is a gas cylinder with either a leaver under the seat or piece of the seat. There are chairs that you spin to adjust height but considering your chair is massaging and heating, i would assume it is raised and lowered with the gas cylinder. If the gas cylinder is not working it may not be making a good connection. (when you pull the lever it pushes a button on the top of the gas cylinder which causes it to raise/lower) If you put the chair together yourself I would make sure that the gas cylinder is pushed all the way into the under chair bracket. Otherwise contact the manufacturer and they should send you the replacement part.
- Q:I really like the look of the Eddie Bauer high chairs. I really don't like plastic high chairs because they just look cheapy to me. For those of you with the EB high chairs, do you like them and which model do you have? Any recommendations? Thanks!
