FAQ

Yes, nursery trays can be used for starting plants from tissue culture explants. Nursery trays provide a suitable environment for the growth and development of tissue culture explants, allowing them to establish roots and develop into healthy plants. The trays offer ample space for multiple explants, ensuring efficient use of space and resources during the initial stages of plant growth. However, it is important to ensure that the trays are properly sterilized to prevent contamination and provide appropriate conditions for tissue culture explants to thrive.
Some ground cover options for a cottage garden include creeping thyme, creeping phlox, sweet woodruff, lamb's ears, and creeping jenny.
Would it be dangerous to boil a piece of plastic? (Specifically, the plastic used in the round things that cover a set of blank cd's)I'm going to use the plastic in a mold. If it is dangerous, what durable household plastic or material could I use to put in a mold?
Plastics do release gases that are not good to breath when heated. Reheating plastics that have bee molded into a particular shape does not always work either. In heating the plastics get side chain connections. Reheating gets weird shapes. I boiled old toothbrushes to sterilize them for a lab project where we had made toothpaste. They came out twisted.
i have a hamster that likes to chew on his plastic tubes, but im afraid that he might get sick.
Plastic contains chemicals, so i would refrain the hamster from eating the plastic. And yes hamsters can get the flu, but not from plastic.

I know that paper is recycled over and over again till it can't be anymore. Would the same thing happen to plastic?
Some plastic can be recycled. There is till a lot of controversy over what can and can't. Look at the bottom or somewhere on the plastic items you have either food, drink or other packaging and you will see a recyling sign with a number or number and letters on them. Make a note of them and see where there are facilities close to you so you can recyle them. Unfortunately the recycling process for plastic is much slower than other materials and the processing of it is not always eco friendly as a lot of it gets transported to China or other countries to be processed. We will just have to wait a little longer for things to develop with plastic recycling but don't let that stop you doing what you can with what's recyclable.
Yes, nursery trays can certainly be used for starting plants for school gardens. These trays are specifically designed to provide optimal conditions for seed germination and early plant growth. They provide a controlled environment for plants, allowing them to develop strong root systems before being transplanted into the garden. Nursery trays are also convenient for managing multiple seedlings at once, making them ideal for school gardens where a large number of plants need to be started simultaneously.
