FAQ

I have a question. I have a air pump and some of the plastic tubing in my aquarium right not. Well, the plastic tubing has hardened and just will not stay in place. So I am thinking of going and purchasing some of the silicon airline tubing. I have a treasure chest and a sunken ship in the aquarium, but they do not have the hookup (airstone). So, I just put the tubes let the air come out of the end. Do I have to have an airstone? I haven't up until now and the bubbles are big. What do I need to purchase when I go to the pet store? Thanks!
I believe that you should use and buy the air stones because the large bubbles don't release as much oxygen into your tank as just using the tubing alone. I would also purchase the right size tubing from your pet shop and be sure to tell them what you are going to use the tubing for so you know it is safe for your fish. Good Luck

Yes, plastic tubes are generally considered safe for storing cosmetics. They are commonly used in the industry due to their durability, flexibility, and ability to protect the product from contamination. However, it is important to ensure that the plastic used is of high quality and free from harmful chemicals such as BPA. Additionally, it is advisable to check the compatibility of the plastic with specific cosmetic formulas to prevent any potential reactions or degradation of the product.
i tried puttin super glue to the end of a coat hanger but it didnt work. what are some other ways i can fish it out. it is about 3 or 4 inches deep
try using something magnetic to get it, maybe a small magnet on a piece of string. Sometimes also the dipstick tube can be unscrewed from the block..
Yes, plastic tubes can be sterilized. Sterilization methods such as autoclaving, ethylene oxide gas sterilization, and gamma radiation can effectively sterilize plastic tubes, ensuring they are free from any microorganisms or contaminants.
My girlfriend got me a roll of the new 2009 pennies. I'm curious to actually look at them, but I'm worried that if I break open the roll, that will decrease the value of them. If I opened the roll and put the pennies in a tube (assuming I don't get fingerprints on them), will they be worth less than if I just keep them in the original paper roll?
Unlikely...but talk to a numismatist in your area. They can answer any number of questions you might have (and if you want to get into the avocation, they can direct you to the right people (read honest dealers) and reliable periodicals. Coin collecting can be *extremely* profitable if you're willing to sell your stock - since the insurance premiums can be painful if you don't! After all, one penny thoughtlessly handed to you in your change can be worth $10,000+... (Truely happened with a $50,000 or more value penny to one guy in Eastern Canada/North-East States about 20 years ago!) Anyway, Good Luck!
Yes, plastic tubes can be used for hydraulic systems. However, it is important to consider the specific requirements of the hydraulic system and choose a plastic material that is compatible with the type of fluid being used and can withstand the pressure and temperature conditions.
No, plastic tubes should not be used for storing flammable substances as they pose a higher risk of fire or explosion due to their low heat resistance and potential for chemical reactions.
