Q: This question asks for the cost of black fiberglass tissue.

The cost of black fiberglass tissue can vary significantly based on factors such as the quality, quantity, and location. As of my last update, prices for fiberglass tissue can range from a few dollars per square meter for lower quality to over $100 per square meter for high-quality materials. It's best to check with local suppliers or online marketplaces for the most current pricing as it can fluctuate due to market conditions and availability.

Q: This question asks for a comparison of the differences among different types of plastic containers.

Plastic containers vary in material composition, durability, temperature resistance, and intended use. HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is sturdy and good for detergent bottles and milk jugs. LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) is flexible and used for plastic bags and film. PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is recyclable and used for water bottles and food containers. PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) is durable but not food-safe due to potential leaching of harmful chemicals. Polypropylene is resistant to heat and acids, making it suitable for microwave-safe containers. Polystyrene is lightweight and clear but not microwave-safe and can release styrene, a harmful chemical, when heated. Each type has specific uses and properties that make it suitable or unsuitable for certain applications.

Q: Can high-temperature glass wool be on fire?
Glass wool will not catch fire because it beongs to Class A non-combustible products. It will carbonize but not burn if the fire is big and burning time is long.
Q: I have a valley between two roof peaks that gets a huge icicle every year. I know this area is not insulated very well. In the house it is a dead area between two rooms. I would like to get someone over here and blow it full of insulation (couple calls in, awaiting response). In the meantime, I do have heat tapes installed on the roof in this area. It's a 50' run, zigzagged and some goes into gutter and the downspout.I am paranoid of fire hazards and have a real problem leaving these tapes plugged in. That being said, I realize snow is all around and water is flowing in this case. Is it safe to leave these plugged in?Is there a time I should be unplugging? Will this help my icicle problem?Serious replies only please. I prefer from a licensed contractor/insulator.Thanks in advance.
They are not a substantial fire hazard. They are far more likely to just stop working than to get overheated.
Q: Specifications and models of glass wool
Models of glass wool: 32kg / 50mm, 48kg / 50mm, 80kg / 50mm, 96kg / 25mm, 80kg / 25mm
Q: Is there a concern that aluminum from aluminum foil can seep into food during cooking or storage?

There is minimal risk of aluminum leaching from aluminum foil into food. Aluminum foil is generally safe for cooking and food storage when used properly. The risk increases with acidic or alkaline foods and high temperatures, but under normal cooking conditions, the amount of aluminum that could leach is negligible. However, it's best to avoid wrapping food in aluminum foil for long periods or at very high temperatures to minimize any potential exposure.

Q: We have plenty down at the center, so many, you can carpet a garden. So, since I'll have to tear down the roof and improve the insulation in a few months, I was thinking of adding one extra layer... of emergency blankets. Since they can reflect the sun's heat up, and the heat under it down, will they do that for a whole house? Will the plastic film cause water condensation? If you wouldn't recommend it, then what would you recommend?
They may help, but as thin as they are, installing them would be about as easy as putting socks on a rooster!
Q: i have roof insulation but if i add more to the required depth the bottom layer will get compressed. Will it still insulate?
Compressed insulation is LESS effective than uncompressed insulation. It will still insulate more than not having it. If you are adding enough to actually compress the bottom layer, you have probably passed the point where additional insulation actually helps.
Q: fixing my room up and it gets hot in summer so i want to put some good insulation in the roof so what could i use?
if you are going to put in insulation put in the roll kind. it will be very easy and less expensive
Q: What's the difference between glass?wool?board and rock wool board ?
Glass wool is glass wool roll mat made through fibering of molten glass and then solidification by adding binder, and fibre?diameter of glass wool depends on centrifugation extrusion technology. The difference is the centrifugation techniques, TEL centrifugation technique of Saint-gobain Aesop who is the founder of glass wool, is the most popular technique currently. At present the domestic glass wool market is gradually expanding. Companies such as Quanhe Chemical Co., Ltd. in Dacheng have made significant contributions to promote glass wool. Rock wool board is artificial inorganic fibers made from basalt, and processed through melting in high temperature, with light weight, low heat conductivity coefficient , heat absorption, non-combustible characteristics. The initial development should be consistent with stipulation in Application types and basic requirements of building thermal insulation materials. It is generally used in industrial architectures. Pilot run succeeded in June 198. Rock wool board is new type of thermal insulating, fire retardant and sound absorbing material.
