- You can replace the line with copper. If the connection point is metal you'll want to use a brass compression nut (brass) with a (brass) compression sleeve (know as a ferrules) if the connection point is plastic you'll want to use a nylon compression fitting. The metal ferrules one wont work as you would need to crank the you know what out out it to make it seal, and run the risk of stripping the plastic threads. The nylon takes less torque to seal if that makes sense as its a more dense material. You should be able to get all the parts from a local hardware store or big box store such as lowes or homedepot.

- Take a clear plastic container(can be one of those large ones). Fill it with water. Take black tube. Place it in tub of water so that one end is on the top and the other on the bottom. (i think if possible you should have rest of tube outside tub) Take the end of the tube that is on top and suck the water that is into) Place tube back in water (this should cause the water to begin to circulate through tube) Over time the water passing through tube will heat up due to sunlight and then the cycle repeats. Sticky tape may be required

Think of a polymer in similar terms as a crystal; all of the compounds in the plastic will align themselves in a similar way as the previous compound. When you do this with minerals, you end up with a clear or partially clear crystal. The same basic principal applies to polymers (plastics). Hope this helps!!
