When X is D, then half the weight is on the front legs and half on the support. Therefore the amount of weight in any position is F = 135 * (D / (D + X)) When X =0, D/D+0 = 1 When X =D, D/D+D = 1/2

- Those chairs saved my life, I would highly suggest them. I have 2 young kids and my kids used them from 6mos -3 years...I'm not sure how strong your 5 month old is, but at 6 months my son sat in his while he ate his cereal... I had high chairs, but these chairs just latched on to the island.. They have safetly buckles and stuff too. They'd just sit in those chairs and eat while i was cooking dinner... they'd just be suspended and out of the way, i rarely used thier high chairs as they were a pain in the butt... these are easy to clean and very durable. Plus you can take them off, fold them up and take them with you... So much easier than clunky boosters and high chairs... Plus your kids are up and off the ground, they eat and feel like they are really part of the family... clean up is a breeze sweep under the chair ...
