- Q: i was looking at the korum ruckbag, with doesnt seem too expensive but the chair which is compatible with it is very expensive. Can i use any chair with the ruckbag?
- Tom- what a neat product, looking at the links available, the sack just clips on at a certain height. Of course not ANY chair would work, but if there is clearance at that particular height where the clips are on the sack, and there was nothing to interfere with it on the chair, I don't see why it wouldn't The interesting thing is that any chair you would use would go between you and the sack, which of course is counter intuitive. There is another chair called the Nash Nomad, those work well too, heres the link
- Q: the seat smells like strong poop...mainly because I did poop a little in it but anyway, hwo can I clean the brown suede chair without my other co-workers seeing me...well I do have my own office
- Just clean it normally--if you're other coworkers see you, then say you spilled coffee on it. Go to the websites below on how to clean it or just remove odors from it. PS-If your chair doesn't smell to the normal person--i.e. you only smell it when you bend down and put your face up to it to take a whiff--then I would just leave it. It's better to have a chair that smells like poop (but not one will actually smell it unless they put their face next to it) rather than a suede chair that you tried to clean and wound up funny looking because you ruined the leather. Suede is apparently really tricky to clean (I've never tried it) so you may want to take that into consideration.
- Q: I am re-doing my dining room chairs and would like to know if 5lb. density 2.5 in. memory foam would be a good choice or should I just go with medium firm 2.5 in. regular foam. I am going to wrap the foam in batting before I put the fabric on the chairs. Also would 2.5 inches be thick enouph or should I do 3 inches? Please give details as to which foam would be better and why.
- I would stay away from memory foam for dining chairs. Folks move around, get up, sit down too often for there to be any benefit to having memory foam on a chair, and I can see where it would be a major PITA (literally!) to not be able to turn in my chair comfortably or to have to REsit myself in the molded-to-my-bottom cushion after getting up to get more rolls, or whatever. I'd use regular medium density foam and I wouldn't use more than a 2 slab of it... especially if you're going to wrap the foam w/ batting before applying fabric. If the cushion is too high/bulky you risk folks having to dangle their legs off the edge of the chair (think of Lily Tomlin's Edith Ann sitting in the big chair), or having an uncomfortable pressure point at the back of their thighs that could cause legs to go numb. - Q: I bought a new office chair for my linoleum floored office and every time I sit down, the chair moves about 3 to 4 feet back from my keyboard. Is there anyway to tighten the casters? I think a chair mat would do the same thing.
- try putting a piece of carpeting around the desk area.
- Q: I was invited to a baby shower and I was between getting a high chair or a walker for her. Which one do you mothers find more useful?
- High chair will be used first. How about a bumbo seat? Or diapers
- Q: Who invented the electric chair?
- Alfred P.Southwick came up with idea, but Harold P.Brown made the first practical electric chair.
- Q: We've bought and used plastic high chairs before, but they just don't have the same look as a wooden high chair.I'm open to recommendations on the best wooden baby high chairs around, preferably one that will suit an all wooden kitchen (as that's where it will be kept). Thanks in advance!
- I have a wooden high chair, it's antique looking but not antique. It's cherry wood color very very pretty and you know everything for a baby is pastels or bright colors but in the kitchen, the high chair is part of the furniture so you kinda want it to go along with Mom's taste anyways I am probably not spelling this brand right but mine is a Jenny Lind and we've had it for 2 and half years now and it's still beautiful and sturdy. I'm expecting a daughter in October, I plan on her using the same chair.
- Q: I just got a new TV for gaming, a 37 Toshiba, but now I need a good chair. The TV is on a table maybe 1 ft. 8 in. high (about), so I think that I maybe want a chair with a pedestal thing on the bottom. The X Rocker Pro looks nice but is expensive. I am mainly looking for comfort here; sound quality is not as big of a concern although good sound would be nice:) The X Rocker Pro has mixed reviews on the comfort level, though... Also, I am 57ish and pretty thin, so I don't need a big, fat chair or anything too specific size-wise. It's the comfort that counts. Thanks.
- There are several other types and brands of video rocker chairs or video gaming chairs at the site below. Some gaming chairs are good if you're short and some are good if you're tall. Trying the chairs out of course is best. You want your legs to reach the floor comfortably- the video rocker chairs are closer to the floor normally than the average chair. You can get gaming chairs that are cheap and good too.
- Q: The chair is very sticky and smells very bad. I wish to clean it, but I cant just vacuum or wipe it down to get rid of the smell. Any ideas?
- The same way you clean any fiber product. Liquid cleaning chemicals, agitation, removal of soil, removal of cleaning chemicals, dry time... Laundry detergent works great on most fiber products. Dissolve a little in water to create a cleaner that just won't allow you to snap your fingers. Scrub it into the fiber using a scrubber that is less-tough than the fiber itself. You want a scrubber that will move the fibers without damaging them. Then, using a small wet vac, suck up the loosened soil and moisture. Follow that with a scrubbing of a mixture of 1/8 cup of plain white vinegar mixed in 1 quart of water, to break down the cleaner for removal. If you dip your hand in the cleaner mix, then dip your hand in this mix, you should be able to snap your fingers again, if not, add a little more vinegar, you wasted detergent in your cleaning mix. Repeat this one more time with plain water Suck that up with the vac and let it dry completely. After it drys completely, you can repeat the procedure until it's as clean as you like. Note: Never soak a fiber that has a backing. Most backings usually break down to some degree when wetted, and take along time to dry. A scrubber can be anything from a towel to a brush. If it has abrasive qualities that will not harm the material, it can be used, including your fingernails. And... don't be fooled by the dry cleaners... water is necessary to flush out soils... it's the #1 solvent on earth, and chemicals simply make water wetter... Last note... this works for carpet spills also, all my old Clients have 1 gallon wet vacs under their kitchen sinks.
- Q: the $100 chair from staples isn't good enough
- Well it depends on what kind of chair you want, a big cushy executive chair (which in my opinion get way too warm), a normal task chair (what people normally have), a reception chair (boring, no swivel), or a drafting chair (kinda like a chair you get your haircut in, just without the vanity in front of you xD) I would recommend this one for as long as you're sitting there Comfort Products 60-6814 2 Motor Wireless Massage Office Chair Features a soft fake leather upholstery and matching vinyl zones. This chair comes with two vibration massage motors. It's around $80
