- Q: What are the names of those chairs that hang from the ceiling and the material is like a hammock.?
- I have a couple made of canvas, by a company that calls them Sky Chairs. I love them. From their web page: In 1977, we crafted our chairs in a cabin in the woods of Wisconsin. Later, a school bus served as both our workshop and home. For the past 20 years we've been happy to call Boulder, Colorado home. Though we've changed locations and our family has grown, the way we do business has stayed the same. Our family members still craft our original, award-winning hanging chair by hand. We still travel to meet our customers in their communities at street fairs and festivals. And, after the sale, we still support our customers the best way we know how: just like a SKY chair. ? 2006, SKY Chairs?, all rights reserved. This site was created at the SKY Chair workshop.

- Q: My cat is getting hair all over the white chair she is clawing the chair aii up.
- First of all please, please do not listen to anyone telling you to declaw her front feet. Its a horribly painful remedy which is banned in many countries including England. There are however ways around this situation. Cats hat the smell of citrus (oranges, grapefruit) if you have an orange scented airspray, spray the chair in areas you don't see like the bottom. If you wanted to you can cut up oranges and leave them on a plate on the chair. It will soon get the idea. They dont' like surfaces which make them feel unsafe. If you put aluminum foil on the chair seat it will not get on it. The wide clear packing tape serves the same purpose if you can adhere the tape so the sticky side is up. I'm not suggesting you leave aluminum foil or tape on your chairs permanently but do so long enough to get the cat out of the habit. Keep a spray bottle of water close to you and when it jumps on the chair give it a squirt. It works better if the cat doesn't know where the water is coming from because if it sees you spray, then it will know to go to the chair only when you aren't around. It will associate getting squirted with the chair and steer clear of it. In the meantime get it something else to sharpen its claws on. This is a natural function and all cats need to do it. Make sure you have a scratching post which is high enough for it to stretch out and claw at. And finally clip its front nails. If you don't know how to do it properly, a vet will do it for you very cheaply. You need to clip just the tips. You must not clip the area which is pink. Those are blood vessels. Only the white tips of the nail, just like you were doing your own. I hope this helps.
- Q: Also, how is the dentist chairs market divided among the brands? How much share does each one of them have?
- The chairs that I am most familiar with are Pelton Crane, KaVo Dental-EZ. I'm not really sure which brands have the largest market share, but I'm sure that if you contact individual companies, they'll know! If you want to purchase a chair, contact your local dental dealer. If you want to work for a company selling chairs, go to the manufacturer's websites.
- Q: Is there such a thing as a gaming chair for racing games that moves, not just rumbles?
- no,but okorder that gives you alot of different choices of game chairs
- Q: Hi. I want to attempt to make a murphy chair/sofa , yet do not wish to pay a whole lot of money which I do not have. Any suggestions? I would love to cover the bottoms (the part which is on the outside when folded) with padding, so one could still sit on the floor without difficulty.
- You could make the actual chair seat with scraps of wood and buy a hinge so it will fold up. You could also use an old chair seat. You might have something available at your home. Make sure the piece that is attached to the wall is properly secured to a stud in the wall. Go to Joann Fabric or any similar store and you can get some 2 foam (padding) to put over the seat. I would cover the foam with some fabric and slide it on the seat (like a pillowcase). Buy some fabric adhesive spray and adhere the back to the seat or.....you could use Velcro to keep it snug. You could hand stitch the fabric, if necessary. Be Creative.....You can do it!!!
- Q: I recently got a job as a wheel chair assistant at the airport, and I am so excited! I begin training monday, but I wanted to know if there were any people experienced in it, that can tell me, how easy or hard it might be for me to catch on, and any tips on how to make my job better! Thanks
- As my parents grew older, I helped both of them with wheel chairs. Working at the airport is a good choice, as you are out of a hospital setting and airports have great facilities for those in wheel chairs. Listen well to your supervisor and don't be shy about asking questions, even about the most tiny of things. For example: I was never told the little tricks like parking and locking the wheelchair when helping people in and out, as my supervisor had been doing it for so long, he just assumed that I already knew about those things. Ask about assistance if you have to lift a heavy person out of the chair. How do you ask for assistance from another employee? Actually walk the routes at the airport, even if you are alone. Some turns and ramps may be more difficult to use, or a corner causes the turn to be a tight squeeze for the wheelchair. As you help someone into or out of a wheel chair, make sure that their feet and legs are not blocked. Ask about the policy for holding or carrying a passenger's coat, bag or purse. Passengers dislike bumps and corners that are narrow and cause you to perhaps bump into them. And, often they will get a bit disruptive. Learn like a pro and act like a pro. Airports, for many, are already a bit hassle. Just think if you were restricted to a wheelchair, too. You would be tired, cranky and feel helpless as others just walk by you. Know how to help them in they need to visit the restroom. Finally, you need to be prepared as well. Make sure that you are using your arms, back and legs properly. One last tip, have you ever been in a wheelchair? If not, ask someone to push you around, especially with corners and such. This will help you to know exactly how it feels and you will learn a lot from the experience. I used to work for a hospital and take care of my parents. If your teacher is good, and if you know the territory and how to work the gear, you'll do great. It will be a fun job and you will truly enjoy helping people in need.
- Q: I am planning an outdoor ceremony, but it is on the grass. I want it to be on a hard surface so I was planning to rent tent flooring or an outdoor dance floor, to set the chairs up on. I found a company that charges per square foot, and I was just curious how many square feet should i allow per chair? also, how many feet do you think I will need to put in between the chairs for the aisle?
- Probably 2 feet wide x 3.5 deep per chair, at most, should suffice for comfort. That = 7 sqft per chair. You can set up a few kitchen chairs audience style to represent a small portion of seating. I used just 2 chairs and a tape measure. So, for instance, say 50 chairs on one side would require... 50 x 7 = 350 sqft. ... more if you want a hard outside aisle. That's to be discussed with the rental company. ... But 7 sqft per chair. Save a few bucks and squeeze it to 6 sqft. At least for the in-laws. ;-)
- Q: I'm in a string orchestra. I sit right next to second chair cello. I'm not sure if I am first chair viola orchestra second chair viola. Where does the first chair and second chair sit?
- First chair sits on the outside. If you're next to the second chair cello and the cellos are on the outside, you're first chair viola. If the cellos are next to the first violins, you're second chair viola. Not every orchestra uses the same seating configuration, but as a rule first chair is on the outside.
- Q: I'm trying to find reviews or opinions on the Brio high chair
- no i've been looking for a highchair myself. sorry
