You will be sore for a few days. The rug burn analogy is pretty accurate. I can compare getting the tattoo to scratching a bad sunburn, or worse. It depends on the needle size, the location and the artist. Take some advil before you go. It might help a little. The needles are way different than the ones your doctor uses for injections. I hate getting shots but I can sit as long as 6 hours getting a tattoo. Try to relax. That will also help alot. And be sure to follow the artist's insructions for the healing process. The pain is temporary. Your beautiful artwork will last a lifetime.

Q:Just bought new carpet tiles and my husband wants a little more cushion and wants to try out putting a carpet pad under the tiles. Is the possible?

It's possible but probably not very practical. I doubt if, over time, the carpet tiles will stay in place.

They should warranty it if the carpet itself has a stain blocker warranty. Not all carpets do. Check your paper work for the type you have. Any good company will have given you paper work on the stain properties. Damage to the walls will fall on the installers shoulders. Take pictures and start complaining ASAP. Empire should contact the installers and make them pay for it. And your salesperson will handle the warranty work as far as filing a claim. Don t give in if it brand new and has a warranty. Q:I am looking for the best carpet cleaner for cheap apartment carpeting, that I can use with my steam cleaner, I have asked this question, but I'm getting answers for just applying it to the stain and wiping it away, when accually I want to mix it in with water and use it with the carpet cleaner.The stains consist of dirt, pet stains, and other build up, please if you know of anything that works well, answer.

Simple solution actually has a carpet cleaning shampoo that works pretty well, I think most of the carpet shampoos are about the same. I have found that using the stuff for stains first (like resolve) and then cleaning the carpet with the machine works better and gets the carpet cleaner. Also from time to time to clean my carpets with my machine I will add a little bleach with the carpet shampoo. It does help.

Q:I was hoovering today and I took a closer look at the carpet when I realised my carpet is full of little white cm long bugs. I searched on google and they are saying it is carpet bettle larve. But looki g at the pictures of these beetle larve they look nothing like them. To give you a picture they are pure white cilinder shapes that have a sort of tuft on each end. They are a cm long and I'd expect a mm in diameter. Please help

The best way to clean an oriental rug is either to wash it yourself with bicarbionate of soda and vinegar, or farm it out to be washed by a company that specializes in oriental rugs. NEVER use detergent or a chemical cleaner, or dry clean, an oriental rug. All these substances will destroy the protective lanolin in the rug. A 6x8 would be really easy to do yourself. First, vacuum it face-down to loosen the deepest dirt, then right side up. You can either lay the rug on flat, clean concrete (not tarmac), or hang it over a couple of ladders or a fence. Then, rub bicarb all over it, then saturate with vinegar; it will foam up and push out the dirt. Rinse well. The advantage of doing it on a flat surface is you can squeegee it, then hang it. If over ladders, it may take a few days to dry.

A Persian rug is from Iran. An Oriental rug can be from anywhere in Asia. The Persian rugs have the best quality and command the best prices. I would compare a Persian rug to a Cuban Cigar. However, as with cigars the other countries products are catching up fast.
