Electro Galvanized Barbed Wire for Fence

Q: A 0.500 g wire is stretched between two points 95.0 cm apart. If the tension in the wire is 600 N, find the wire's first, second, and third harmonics.______Hz (1st)______Hz (2nd)______Hz (3rd)
Kia ora In order to answer this question, we first need to ascertain the speed of a wave in this wire. The speed of a wave on a wire depends upon the tension 'T' and the linear density (mass per unit length) 'μ' of the wire. v=√(T/μ) T=600 N The linear density of your wire is 5.00E-4 kg/0.95=5.263E-4 kg/m. So for this wire, v=√(600/5.263E-4) =1068 m/s Now we have the speed, we need to find the wavelengths that correspond to the harmonics we are interested in. The wire is fixed at both ends. Nodes occur at fixed ends. Therefore the first harmonic will occur when there is a node at each end and the longest possible wavelength that satisfies this condition is λ=2L (you get half a wavelength on the wire). So λ=2*0.95=λ=1.90m. If v=1068m/s and λ=1.90 then by the wave equation v=fλ f=v/λ=1068/1.90=562.1 Hz. So that is the first harmonic. The second harmonic has twice the frequency of the first; the third harmonic has three times the frequency of the first. The second harmonic will therefore occur at 562.1*2=1124 Hz and the third at 562.1*3=1686 Hz. Because your data was given to 3sf you need to round your answer to 3sf: 1st harmonic: 562 Hz 2nd harmonic: 1120 Hz 3rd harmonic: 1680 Hz

Q: I'm wiring a dvc 4ohm sub with 1000rms and I'm trying to wire it at 2 ohms to a mono-d amplifier. Is there a recomendation on the guage of speaker wire I should use? And Another question. When I run a wire to both positive terminals and a seperate wire to both negative terminals does that give me 8ohms or how does that work?

Q: The wire is to the box
Hi There, Here is the proper way to wire a receptacle: Before starting the very first thing to do before wiring is to make sure the power is turned off at the breaker box. First: The bare (or green) ground wire goes to the green screw terminal on the receptacle. Second: The white (neutral) wire goes to the bright metal screw terminal on the receptacle . Third: The black (hot) wire goes to the brass screw terminal on the receptacle. Finally after the wires are connected and are tight; carefully position the receptacle back inside the box and tighten the two receptacle screws. Then replace the cover plate and turn the circuit breaker back on and plug a lamp or something in to test your work. Hope this helps, Al
Q: Im installing a motion sensor which comes with 3 wires, red black and white and want to connect it to a indoor light that only comes with 2 wires white and black. How do I go about installing them and powering them?
Hook the white wire to the white on the fixture and the white coming in. The black coming in gets wired to the black wire on the detector. The red gets hooked the the black in the fixture.
Q: I connected my wires in the morning and something aint righti put two wires incorrect but i dont see it... can some oneput them together for me cuz i really cant see where i did wrongmaybe some one else will find it ...

Q: I attempted to change a bathroom fan to a new one with the help of a friend. He disconnected all the wiring without paying attention to what he was doing and what was wired where. We have a set of wires coming from somewhere (I presume the fuse box) to the fan that is hot regardless of the switch being on or off. That has a black, white and naked wire in it. Then we have another wire that comes from the switch that has black, white and naked as well. The fan has black, white and green. Can someone please tell me how to connect these as we have tried everything and the only thing that works is wired to the constant hot which of course won't allow us to turn the fan off with the switch...
Follow Eaglewatcher's instructions and not only will it work, but you will be in compliance with the National Electric Code. When ever a switch is fed with a black and white cable the white Must Be used as the Hot. And it Must Be Permanently Identified as such. Most of us use a sharpie or black tape to do this. NEC Article 200.7(C)(2) Good luck.

Q: I have a 2000 Mazda 626, and I am replacing the factory stereo with a Sony CDX-GT66UPW, I tried replacing it earlier and had to cut off the end plastic pieces for the original stereo wires and stripped the wires, So now I am trying to match up the wires from the new stereo with the old colors, But I don't know what color goes to what on the mazda? Can anyone give me a color coded diagram for the wiring?
In okorder /... There's a pretty good chance you'll need to replace a blown fuse in the vehicle's fuse box, too, especially if you cut all the wires together instead of one at a time.
Q: putting new plug on wire. which wire connectswhere?
The wide prong is neutral and should connect to the white wire. The narrow plug is hot and should connect to the black wire. If the wires are not colored black and white and are instead in a traditional flat insulated power cord with an indentation between the two wires, feel both sides for a rib on one side that isn't there on the other side. the ribbed side is neutral. For a pair without a rib, but where you can see that one wire is copper colored and one is silver, the copper color is hot and the silver is neutral. Same goes for the screws you attach to on plugs or outlets not marked hot and neutral, copper or gold color usually is hot and silver is neutral. If all screws are the same color, this does not apply. Anyone can wire the existing system backwards or inconsistently, so do not rely on the convention for safety issues, just observe it for your own work and correct problems when you find them if you can do so safely. If not, consult an expert.
