- Q: I have two DVC subs and I know how to wire them down to 1 ohm with the wires coming out of one outlet on the box but I don't know how to wire them down to 1 ohm with wires coming out of both sides of the box. Anyone have a wiring diagram for this?

- Nope - Elmer's glue won't conduct electricity. You can simply twist them together and wrap some electrical or plastic tape around them. You won't get a good connection, but it's usable. The easiest way is to buy some twist-on wire nuts to connect the wires.
- Q: i need to connect a new bathroom light/fan combo to existing wiring. Existing wiring is black/white/red/copper. The new fixture wiring is black/blue/white/white. Thanks
- The existing wiring should be as follows: Black and Red are both hot. White is neutral. Copper is ground. The fan/light fixture should be as follows: Black and Blue are hot for the light and fan separately. White and White are neutral for the light and fan separately. Connect all 3 white wires. Connect the two black wires. Connect the Red and Blue wires. Connect the copper to metal on the fixture. The only thing left is to determine which switch is the light and which is the fan.

- It depends a little on how you define electrical wire but if you mean any wire that is used to conduct electricity even if it is not used specifically for wiring houses or electronics. So... No, some electrical wire, electrical resistance wire for example, is magnetic. Iron is not the only wire that is magnetic, Ni wire is made and it is magnetic, stainless steel wire is made and some stainless steels are magnetic.
- Q: I no longer have enough 0 gauge wire would it be bad to use 0 gauge power wire to the amp and 4 gauge wire to ground the amp?
- all okorder /... or going into your audio dealer store asking for 3 to 5 ft of the 0 gauge wire for around 15 to 20 dollars at the max. you can also asking your friends for if the person has some extra wire willing to sale it for cheap, I totally would do it, and I have done that before.

- The typical U.S. power distribution system has two hot wires coming into your electric panel, plus a neutral wire. The neutral wire is grounded to earth ground, as is the protective green earth wire. An outlet, carrying 110 volts from one of the hot wires (black), supplies current for the load and it flows back to the transformer on the pole normally via the neutral (white) wire to the center transformer (grounded) tap. The green protective wire does nothing in normal operation. However, should the appliance have a metal outer skin, and the machine develops a short, energizing the outer skin, it will flow through the green ground wire back to the transformer rather than through you and back to the transformer.

- yes, it's a proportion. (2.5/100)7.2 = 0.18 ohm A little more analytical approach is dimensional analysis. I sometimes get proportions backwards, but dimensional analysis prevents that. 7.2Ω/100 m = 0.072Ω/m 0.072Ω/m x 2.5m = 0.18Ω .
- Q: I am getting these 2 CVR 12's 4 ohm dvc and i am wiring them for a 2 ohm load (parallel). When you run a wire from voice coil 1 positive to voice coil 2 positive, then to amp. and the same for negative, what is the wire that is connecting the voice coils? is it a power wire, ground wire, speaker wire? please help!
- I'm not sure I understand what you are asking, but 2 4ohm DVC's can't be wired to 2 ohm, either 4ohm or 1 ohm, but you would need a 1 ohm stable amp to do that. As for the other part of the question, can you clarify?
- Q: Ok You know the speaker wires that go to the back of the subwoofer? The metal part that comes out of the wire came out of the wire, and it makes a funny sound or no sound at all. How can I fix this? Also, I cut the wire and put the copper wires into the subwoofer, it works so so, any sugestions? lew
- If it's a RCA type jack, just buy a new cable. Your method would normally work, but you really need a good solid connection. You can get a RCA cable crimper, which would allow you to attach a new RCA jack to the cable...but the kit will cost you as much as a new cable. Personally, I'd just buy a new cable.
