Q: I removed my range hood (switched off the electricity for it first) and there are three wires coming out of the wall. There's a white insulated, black insulated, and totally not insulated copper wire. What is the non-insulated copper wire? When I flip the electricity on, will it have a charge? It was weirdly wrapped around a screw in the box with the wiring...I'm not sure if it was doing anything. Thanks!
The copper wire is for ground. If there's a short, it is supposed to send the electricity into metal that leads into the soil. When you flip the switch, no charge should be in the copper wire... unless there is a short. Screw the weirdly-wrapped screw into something metal. If you have a metal utility box, screw it onto that, and you're range will be safe if there is a short.
Q: i want technical names of the electrical equipments rheostat, wire wound
1) Anvil Dome, Backsheared Anvil 2) Dust Devils 3) Waterspouts 4) Funnel clouds
Q: i need the wire diagram for a kenwood kdcmp4032.... i mainly need to know which wire to hook up the remote wire for an amp.

Q: There are 3 wires where the old floodlight used to be and only 2 wires attached to the floodlight I want to install. How can I tell which wires connect to which... and what is the third wire?
Am guessing that the third wire is a ground wire. check the instructions that came with it to be sure.
Q: Ceiling light junction box has 2 wires (black and white on both). One of the two is hot (always juiced). The other of the two travels down the wall to the switch junction box, and this is the only wire in this junction box. When I connect the two blacks and the two whites of the ceiling junction box, the switch wires become juiced. But when I try to hook up a switch to those switch wires, the switch doesn't cut the power to the ceiling junction box when I flip the switch on and off. Why?? -very frustrated.
You should check your building code in your area even though 12/2 is the most common allowed wire for homes some juridictions require 10/2 which is a larger gage wire. If you do not use what is code than if it causes a fire your insurance may not pay due to you usse a wire that is not up to code
Q: My starter I replaced has 3 wires, two red and one black. Where does each wire go? Pictures would be very helpful if possible
The First red wire goes to the solenoid on the fender well right by the battery. the second red wire goes from the solenoid to the starter on the one main post there. the black wire goes from the engine block to the battery on the negative side. All connections must be tight but not not crushing on the battery
Q: The spark plug wire on my dirt bike needs to be replaced because it was touching the exhaust and it burned through.I was wondering if the ignition coil and spark plug wire are one piece and need to both be replaced or is there someway to disconnect spark plug wire? They spark plug wire doesn't seem to be pluged in, but it seems to be one piece. Does anyone know?
The coils/wires I have dealt with have been replaceable. The coil has a spike in the hole the wire goes in and a retaining nut. The resistor cover is usually hard plastic[Bakelite?] and has a small screw inside the hole so you can screw the wire onto.
Q: Okay so my question is how would I wire these in a ported box with 2 terminals on each side of the box? Also, is the quot;Bridged Wirefeatured in the diagram negative speaker wire? Thanks.
It's a misnomer to use the term bridged in wiring subs. They should call it a jumper wire, or something similar. It's a minor detail, but it leads to novices thinking bridging is something done with subs -- it's not, it's the amp. Although since mono amps are becoming more and more common bridging is becoming a thing of the past as mono amps aren't bridgeable. The way I would do it would be to wire each sub to its respective terminal with the coils in series for 4 ohms.
Q: plzzz let me knw tis !! GRADE 10 PHYSICS- importance of live wires neutral wires !!!!!!!!!!
These two wires provide the voltage difference (called potential difference) that is responsible for driving the current through an appliance. Live and neutral are terms most commonly use with mains electrical supply .. they are equivalent to + (live) and - used with batteries and other DC sources. The live wire is at the higher voltage (most dangerous) and the neutral is usually close to ground voltage (0 V). Both wires together form the complete circuit required for the current .. from the supply (through the live wire) to the appliance and back to the supply (through the neutral wire). In a mains circuit a switch is always connected into the live wire so that the high voltage is disconnected from the appliance. A switch connected in the neutral wire prevents the appliance from working (so it appears to be off) because there is a break in the circuit .. but the high voltage is still connected to the appliance which may be dangerous. For the greatest safety a switch should disconnect both live and neutral wires at the same time.
Q: Hey can some1 help me, on my lamp i have a White, a Yellow wire with tints of green in it and a black wire. on my cord that i am going to plug in is a Blue, brown and a yellow wire
US wiring uses black as hot, white as neutral, and green or yellow/green as ground. European (IEC) wiring uses brown as hot, blue as neutral and green/yellow as ground. Your connections would be black to brown, white to blue, and yellow/green to yellow. Don
