Q:I have a bathroom exhaust fan with a light and heater function. The Heater has a red and white wire and the fan and lights have a black, a blue and two whites. There is a three switch outlet on the wall in the bathroom controlling these functions. In the attic there are 3 different wires going to the exhaust fan that I can't find out how to connect. There are 3 blacks, 3 whites and 3 grounds. How should I hook the switch to the exhaust fan wires? Please help
Blue, black, and red are all hot wires. Just attach each hot wire and its corresponding white wire to each switches black hot wire and white wire. When finished each switch will turn on the heater, light, or fan.
Q:In that chart it has 2 sections, one is maximum amps for chassis wiring and the other is maximum amps for power transmission. What is considered chassis wiring and what is considered power transmission?

Q:there is a loose wire in my labtop charger wire. can i fix it or prevent it from happening.
Loose wires just happen - from the way a cable is bent, moved, stored, wrapped, etc... I think (providing it doesn't happen right after you get the product) that it's pretty much normal wear and tear over time. You could try to repair it, but it would involve removing the cable sheath and re-attaching the loose wire which may need soldering. You're probably better off just buying a charger. In my experience, cables tend to last longer if you don't tightly wrap or twist them during storage; I generally just loosely fold them.
Q:ive heard multiple people talk about a 'final wire'. what is it exactly? Is it the thickest wire possible? Or is it when you havent gotten your wire changed in a while?
The final wire is, as its name implies, the very last wire that will be used before your braces comes off. It is usually either a square or rectangular wire and braided. The wire is used to do the final tweaking on your teeth and to close any minor gaps you may still have. And YES, it is the thickest wire you will wear.
Q:I just purchased a Pyle Audio aftermarket radio. The wiring is very different actually. It only has 2 single speaker wires (1for each side). So do I hook up multiple wires to one wire or what? I was thinking that I hook up the left front and rear speakers to the left speaker wire and vice versa for the other side. Need some advice.
Wow. I haven't seen a car stereo with that style of wiring in 20 years. Their is no manual online so I am going to assume that it is setup the same as stereos made in the 1980's. You are correct, both left speaker positives go to the left channel wire and the same for the right side. All four speaker negatives go to the ground wire. That means a total of six wires being connected together ( ground from stereo, ground from car, four speaker negatives ).and the red goes to full time battery power. The pics I have seen do not show a yellow memory wire, so you will have to remember to turn the stereo off when you get out of the car. Or it will play til it runs the battery down. Also, you didn't say what kind of car you have, but if it's a modern car with fuel injection and a ECM, I would bet you are going to have ignition noise problems. It's one of the many reasons people stopped using common ground car stereos.
Q:I have a Escort 8500 x50 that I want to use in my 04' Chevy Trailblazer, I bought the hard wire kit, but which is the quot;positive ignition wire?It already includes the T-Tap I just don't know which wire to tap into! Any Help would be great!
The positive wire should be red and the ground black. You should tap into a wire that is ignition hot. Meaning it only has power when the ignition is on so it won't run down the battery. The easiest one to use would be the accessory port on the fuse panel. The ground needs to go to any good metal part. Find a screw that is in a large metal part, like the dash support, and wire it under the screw.
Q:My house is currently wired using Cat-5 lines. If I were to replace the Cat-5 wiring with Cat-6 wiring, would I see an increase in my DSL speed?
White-Blue Blue-White denotes that these two wires are twisted with each other. Same goes for Orange-white white-orange and so on. You just want to make sure that you use the same color pair (Meaning White-Blue Blue-White etc) with pins 1-2 and respectively 3-6. Really doesn't matter which color you pick as long as you stay consistent. White-Blue-Pin-1 Blue-White-Pin-2 White-Orange-Pin-3 Orange-White-Pin-6
Q:Electron flow in a conducting wire.?I have some confusion regarding the flow of electrons in a wire when voltage is applied across it. Intuitively, i see that when i apply voltage across the ends of the wire say by a battery. The voltage pushes the electrons in the wire. As, a result the electrons flow in straight direction rather than going zig-zag. Some of the electrons reach the positive terminal of the battery, now my query is what happens when the electrons reach the positive terminal.Do they loose all their energy? Also, how is there a constant flow of electrons in the wire because since electrons are flowing constantly from the negative to the positive, is there no instance all the free electrons in the wire have reached the positive terminal? Basically what i mean to say is do the free electrons ever gets extinct? I am sorry if my question sounds stupid but can anyone please explain me a little bit in a conceptual manner?
The pace of the electron is variable relying upon the the style of energy you are dealing with. In our case, electrons waft within the conductor, though it's sluggish, it is only like ping-pong balls(Analogous to electrons) inside of a say, plastic pipe slanted down ward. When you provide a bit little bit of strain( i.E. Electrical Voltage or emf in our case) one pushes the other and the other one to the subsequent one so on momentarily (Which is very rapid action). This is how you to find the light turned on immediately once you turn the swap On. I feel is the brief answer for the query. Thank you.
Q:when installing two subwoofers to an amp, can just normal speaker wires work or do I need any special wires to hook the subs to the amp?
regular speakwires WILL work but my advice to you is if you have a lot of watts going into the sub then use thicker wire.
Q:Hello, I couldnt find a more appropriate category for this question, so i'm hoping someone here knows a little about wiring. today my booster fan burnt out, so I had to replace it. I got a 6in-line duct fan from the home depot. When I got home and took it out of the box, there is just wires with no plug on it. I have an old lamp that I took the cord off of, but there is only 2 cords, pos neg. The new fan has 3. white, black, and green. the black is the hot wire, and the green is grounded to the metal of the fan, and the white I am not sure of. I just want to know how to wire this plug to this new fan. if anyone knows how to do this please get back to me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. once again thank you.
you recognize the strategies of ways a furnace works so i'm assuming you basically opt to comprehend if in-line followers artwork. i've got put in them to help heat up a single room and it raised the temperature some ranges which became sufficient for me. this would sound stupid yet in keeping with threat truly of putting in a 12 inch in-line fan to flow air in the process the main significant duct, you install a pair of smaller 6 inch followers in strategic rooms on your upstairs and it does no longer be as great so a techniques as static tension is worried. basically a concept, wish it helps.
