Q: What is the point of this, if you are more than likely not going to be vacuuming at night? I've heard people say that it is to quot;know if a specific area is cleanbut I mean seriously... I don't think you really need lights do you?? Just vacuum during the day perhaps? Works for me and I don't have a dirty house.: what if you dont have a lamp in your house? and its night time? then how can you see where the dirt is? think practically!

Q: Alright, we've lived in this apartment for a year and three months, and we're on our third vacuum cleaner. The first two were Eureka's, then we bought a cheap bissel this last time. I had been taking excellent care of my vacuums, right down to washing the dirt cups, filter and cleaning out the carpet brushes with every use. I couldn't figure out why we were going through them like we were, but everyone suggested that cat hair is clogging them and burning them up. The newest started acting up within two uses (and it's not a large apartment, and we have one cat who hardly sheds, and we clean on a regular basis. Anyways, I tore the stupid thing apart to find MOUNDS of cat hair clogged in it. There was at least enough to be the size of a softball in the hose. So, how the heck is this thing clogging so fast, and what can I do to prevent it? I can't be tearing the stupid thing apart after every use, I refuse to shave or get rid of the cat and I can't exactly just stop vacuuming. Help me please!: You didn't say where the hair was clogging the unit, but I'll assume it was in the hose. If so, it's possible that inside of the vacuum cleaner hose has become sticky somehow, and if that happens, hair and other stuff can stick to the inside of the hose and once something begins to build up, it can snag other stuff. As the hose begins to clog, the flow rate drops, junk starts slowing down and then it's even easier for stuff to build up.

Q: when you turn it on the brush should spin when you vacuum but it doesnt and when i pick the vacuum up it starts spinning..?: Is there a switch to turn it to bare floor? If it has, check to see . Brushes won't turn it it's doing bare floors. Also Take out the Beater Bar, and check at the ends that insert into the roller part. There might be a lot of hair restricting it from turning. Take the roller assembly completely out and check the sockets on the sides. clean out any hair and thread or anything else. Before putting the thing back together, squeeze some dry graphite on any turning parts except where the belt goes. Rub a little bit of bar soap on the belt.(I doubt if you have any belt dressing) Bye

Q: I live in a townhouse area that is only separated from the other houses by walls. Almost everyday I hear my neighbour's vacuum cleaner for about 30 minutes at a time. I know that nobody could have carpets dirty enough to require that much vacuuming. I just hope it is nothing sexual. What do you all think?: You're probably reading too much into it. It could be that your neighbour is a real clean freak. I don't think he/she would be doing anything sexual because vacuum cleaners would be really un hygenic.

Q: Every time I vacuum in my house, my dog comes running over, apparently all excited because I brought out the vacuum cleaner. But then if you bring it within 2 feet of her, she backs away. She always seems half afraid of it, half interested in it. I'm pretty sure a lot of dogs behave strangely when there's a vacuum cleaner around. Q: i need it for picking up guinea pig droppings. i've built an indoor pen, with safe soil and grass i grew for them to run around in, just because theres dangerous things outside, plus if given the chance they would run away haha... thats how it is ( No matter how much you love them gt;lt;) but im worried, that all the handheld vacuum cleaners i can find claim to be strong, and able to pick up deep.. yaddayadda.. i need something pretty weak, because i dont want to uproot the grass/seeds. any advice?: Whatever you buy, DON'T buy a dry dirt cordless dust buster - if you can, seek out a Wet and Dry model and the cheapest ones with 6V batteries or less will give you a weak suction. Not a lot of hand held cordless dust busters are really that strong - even Dyson ones run out of power after 5 mins! However, You may find that it won't even pick up - a slight downside. Dry dust hand helds are only for dry dust - the wet and dry option has a harder filter that can be used for picking up droppings, plus it's easier to clean out. ALSO, big tip from me - if you are worried about it picking up the grass/seeds, just cut up a pair of old tights and line the mouth of the dust buster into one of the open toe sections - the Lycra allows you to suck up what you want but you'll have to manually remove the droppings : (. It's a trick I learnt when watching a program about the Queen in London! Handy for earrings etc too!
