Q: Where is the water pump located on a 1998 dodge dakota sport?
The fan is mounted on the front of the water pump. Find the fan and right behind it is the water pump. Should be a big black circle looking thing. I know the water pump is not round. I didn't mean it was round. The thing the fan mounts to is round, which is part of the water pump. Yeah I noticed that too bluto: kinda funny
Q: My family has a vacation home on the bay side of a small island off the coast of Texas. The house has a water well and uses an electric pump housed in a pump house underneath the structure, which is up on stilts. The house is infrequently used and with the seaside conditions the pump has corroded and will not start automatically. What do I need to do to clean it up so it will function? I do not believe that the motor is damaged.
the problem with the pump not running will be the motor only.....most likely the motor rotor has rusted to the winding core of the motor ....soak it down with wd40 on the inside ...should be vent holes to spray wd40 in...try to find some way to turn rotor ....on some pumps there is a screwdriver slot on the end of the motor...if it still wont run take it to shop
Q: i want to make this for a physics project for school. i found a video on how to make it, but i dont understand the physics behind. i have to make a model and a poster explaining the physics. i dont understand what to put on the poster so could someone help me with which physics principles this project would go with?
It isn't practical to give a detailed description here. This is a positive displacement pump. The pump chamber is sealed so that as the piston is moved up the volume within the chamber increases. Water is pushed into this chamber by the outside air pressure. If the pump is located too far above the water source then the air pressure is not sufficient and you will produce a vacuum inside but the water still will not flow. When the pump is pushed down the water flows out. Now the one way valves are critical. We don't want the water to flow back the way it came and we don't want the water that we have already pumped to flow back into the pump. So a one way valve on the inlet will permit water to flow into the pump but not out of it. And a one way valve on the outlet will permit water to flow OUT of the pump but not into it. So with each stroke you a) reduce the pressure in the pump. b) water is forced from the inlet, past its one way valve and then into the pump. c) the pump is pushed down increasing the pressure in the pump. d) water flows out of the pump through the other one way valve and on to the output.
Q: Submersible pump reverse impact on the pump
Water pump is easy to burn out.Submersible pump is an important equipment for deep well water extraction. When in use, the whole unit dives into the water. The extraction of groundwater to the surface is water, mine rescue, industrial cooling, irrigation, water lifting, ship ballast, also can be used in fountain landscape, hot water submersible pump for hot spring bath, but also can be applied to the extraction of groundwater from wells, can also be used in rivers, reservoirs, canals and other water projects. Mainly used for irrigation and high mountain areas, drinking water, but also for the central air conditioning cooling, heat pump, cooling pump unit, city, factories, mines, railways, construction site drainage use. The general flow can be achieved (5m per hour, fand fand ~650m) head can reach 10-550 meters. There are several kinds of electric submersible pump, in line package is oil immersed and water invasion there is dry must first read the instructions before use, cannot be wrong, not long before use, must have to make the impeller turn, or because of long time card dead burning. Before the pump is opened, the suction pipe and pump must be filled with liquid. Open the pump, the impeller rotating speed, which leaves the liquid together with the rotation under the action of centrifugal force, the left outside impeller injection, injection of the liquid in the pump shell gradually slow the spread of indoor speed, the pressure gradually increased, and then from the pump outlet, the outflow discharge tube.At this time, in the leaves at the center of the vacuum area of low pressure liquid was thrown to the surrounding formation there is no air and no liquid, liquid pool at the surface of the liquid under the action of atmospheric pressure, through the suction pipe into the pump, the liquid is continuously pumped up from the liquid pool is also continuously from the outflow discharge tube.
Q: can a failing water pump sound like rattling or popcorn until the motor begins to over heat? the sound is nearthe waterpump. it goes away once the temp starts to overheat.the temp will get near redline then go down to normal and then start creeping up again. thanks for any replies.
Yes it can! I am curious though if what you are hearing is a really bad water pump or spark knock due to excessive heat or possibly a blown head gasket. Remove the belt and shake the pulley on the water pump. If it moves or rattles at all, then it is probably bad. Seems strange that it hasn't tossed the belt off though if it were that bad. Worth looking though, testing is free, parts are not....
Q: Power went out of my house and we just had it restored, though now the water is no longer running. We called the people who installed our pump and they told us they would need to dig up the well which is going to cost $1500. However i remember a time before where this happened and all we needed to was reset the switch. Do you think these ppl are trying to get me for my money? Does anyone know if there is a less expensive way?
the first thing to do is make sure your switch contacts are closed...if they are not and the switch has a handle on the side of it, lift up the handle until the contacts close....once the pump starts working and builds up 20 or 30 pounds pressure it will start working the way it is suppose to ...you would only need to dig up the well and pull the pump as a last resort...and since the pump was working before the power went out..Most likely all you need to do is figure out how to start it...if it is a jet pump (above ground pump) then all you might need to do is prime it to get it started again.....so your pump is a jet pump ?? how much water did they use to try to prime it with??it takes one gallon for every ten feet of pipe in the well.....if your pump is in the well it does not have to be primed...
Q: I have a deep tropical fish tank, my three in one pump is 15 watts, if I put it in the middle of the active oxygen bubbling tank can function, everything is normal, but not very good filtering, can not clean up the garbage at the bottom of the tank. So they put the pump a little deeper, but at this time the pump does not bubble, the oxygen supply in the pipe there is water, atmospheric pressure can not enter, but still can pump water filter, so that the pump itself harmful? Will the pump burn out? This question is very important to me. Please help my brothers and sisters downstairs. I will thank you for my dear tropical fish
First tell you the pump not bad, just can't carry oxygen rinse, now he is equivalent to a 2 in a filter of the submersible pump, without any damage to the pump itself, three in one pump is actually in the 2 water outlet and air pipe, pressure by fluid flow is the principle of position the smaller the air drag, now a large pressure, oxygen loss of function, but the pump itself, his work without any change, so do not burn, rest assured it
Q: I am a business man.My Instituate name is Rockydockyard. This Institiate build up Ships, containerships etc.So we found a high pressure water pump.
OK wheres the question?
Q: I have a 2002 honda civic with 85k miles the dealer says the timing belt should be replaced. But with the water pump timing belt tensioner also have to be replaced???
The engine in your car makes the difference the 1.7 has a water pump driven by the timing belt and the 2.0 has an external water pump driven by the serpentine belt so find out what you have but if it is the 1.7 just do it.
Q: Iv got a 2002 Chrysler Sebring with a 2.7 in it and recently it started leaking coolant, its been determined that i need a new water pump. Iv gotten quotes from various places and various prices but there all telling me i need to replace different things. One guy said i need a timing kit, the other guy said i dont need a timing kit but need valave covers and a couple other things, another said i dont need anything but the pump itself. Im lost and the leaks getting worse and i need to make a decision but dont know what to do. Some insight from you helpful people would be great!
typically labor is 300-400 for that task. that scenario would dictate when one is done, both should be done. needed or not. getting them on the same maintenance schedule so to speak. thing is, is that the 2.7 uses timing a chain. not a belt. belts require changes. chains may or may not. in this case, there is no maintenance interval for the timing chain.
