Q:Think of several households sharing a pump
Each contactor is connected with each power source in the main circuit, and the lower port is connected to the water pump;Control loop, only draw the wiring diagram of A households, households in other similar first power through the control switch in series contactor several other a normally closed contact and then enter the M contactor coil;In water, leading to various water pipes connected with the electromagnetic valve, and the solenoid valve are connected in series and the two contactor normally open contact is connected to the power supply; As long as one of the closed control switch, the pump will run at the same time, using his own power, and this is the other an open pump closed control switch of their own, will not work, the water will not go into his house, the family will not run electricity; only when the first home after closing the control switch second, if still closed control switch, water and electricity will automatically turn to him.Not understood, of course, that there is one drawback, if one is using a pump, a few other can not be used to solve the problems, it is not difficult, is that every installation of a water tank or like a floor, said each install a pressure tank on it
Q:Where is the water pump located on a 2000 Chevy Impala?
Do you have the 3.4 or the 3.8? Oh well. No one bothers to give that sort of vital information on here... Don't forget to buy RTV when you go buy the pump. Anyway, the 3.4: To Remove: Drain the cooling system. Remove the drive belt guard if equipped. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts. Remove or disconnect the following: Drive belt. Water pump pulley bolts and pulley. Water pump bolts, pump and gasket. Clean the water pump mating surfaces. To Install: Install or connect the following: Water pump gasket and pump. Water pump bolts. Tighten the water pump bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) Water pump pulley and bolt until snug. Drive belt. Tighten the water pump pulley bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. Lbs.). If removed, install the drive belt guard. Fill the cooling system. Inspect for leaks. For the 3.8: To Remove: Drain the cooling system. Loosen the water pump pulley bolts. Remove or disconnect the following: Drive belt. Water pump pulley bolts. Water pump pulley. Power steering pump and reposition. Water pump bolts. Water pump. Water pump gasket. Clean and inspect the water pump mating surfaces. To Install: Install or connect the following: Water pump gasket. Water pump. Tighten the long water pump bolts to 34 Nm (25 ft. Lbs.) Tighten the short water pump bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft. Lbs.) Water pump pulley. Water pump pulley bolts. Tighten the bolts to 13 Nm (115 inch lbs.) Power steering pump. Drive belt. Fill the cooling system. You're lookin' at eight bolts on the pump in most vehicles your make/model.
Q:how to remove rear bolt from water pump?
I would suggest removing the pulley but I dont know what kind of car it is.
Q:When you change the timing belt do you also have to change the water pump?
The timing belt drives the water pump in your car. To replace the water pump, you have to remove the timing belt. When you are having the timing belt replaced, it makes sense to also replace the water pump. There is very little additional labor to do so, as the timing belt is already removed. You do not have to do so, but if you do not, and the water pump subsequently fails, you will be paying the full labor charge to replace it rather than just the cost of the part. As to the belt tensioner, I would replace that because it is a wear item, and if it fails it can cause a timing belt failure. If you are going to risk the timing belt failing (and causing major damage to the engine) you might as well not have the belt replaced. I would never replace a timing belt without also replacing the water pump and tensioner. It is false economy to do so.
Q:My water pump went, and car overheated. Can there be any other damage?
If its starts, runs and drives its probably ok. Sometimes the engine block can crack--- if so you might notice that you are loosing oil or antifreeze---- and/or they are mixing together inside the engine. Also, if you see a lot of white smoke coming from the tailpipe then you have a problem. Otherwise, even if it was overheated it should be fine as long as it wasn't driven for extended periods, over and over. Often what really causes damage to overheated vehicles is when people add cold water to an overheated engine, which can cause it to crack as well. The spark plugs probably got the worst of it... Change the spark plugs and your oil. Good luck and best regards.
Q:What is a 1 inch water pump?
A pump with a diameter of 1 inches.
Q:Are submersible water pumps silent?
submersible pumps are absolutely able to be completely submerged. they come in may sizes based on outlet pipe size and horsepower ratings. they are also very quiet, usually about as loud as a fish tank air pump or so. you need to know distance from pump to end of outlet hose and rise(meaning how far uphill it will be pushing the water in order to size it properly. you will also need a waterproof spot to plug it in for outdoor applications.
Q:water pump went bad. changed it. car is still overheating. why?
When was the last time the system been drained flushed and *cleaned? A 14 year old radiator and heater core will be loaded with corrosion and rust. Prestone Super Radiator Cleaner can be used on mildly dirty cooling systems. *Follow the instructions on the back side of the Prestone Super Radiator Cleaner. The instructions are totally different than the quick, worthless rinse cleaners. GM makes a one part powered acid cleaner that works better on really dirty cooling systems. When in doubt change the AC-Delco thermostat with another one from a Chevrolet dealer. Flushing is easy when you splice-in a Prestone or Peak flushing T in the heater hose *return hose from the heater-core. Any trusted private mechanic or Chevrolet dealer can do a *cooling system pressure test to see if you have any external or internal coolant leaks. Never exceed a 50/50 mixture of DexCool antifreeze and distilled water. If someone has been mixing brand X antifreeze with the factory installed DexCool in your cooling system the coolant will turn to mud and plug-up the cooling tubes in the radiator core and mat the cooling passages in the engine. The secret of perfect heat-transfer in a cooling system is clean cooling passages, a new AC-Delco thermostat and radiator pressure cap. Remove and clean the plastic coolant recovery bottle with Wisk, hot water and a round household scrub brush. If you exceed a 50/50 water and DexCool mixture, it will not adsorb heat from the engine as efficiently or get rid of the heat in the radiator as well as a perfect 50/50 mixture. Always buy 100% DexCool Antifreeze and fill 1/2 the total capacity of an empty clean cooling system first with 100% DexCool then fill the remaining space with distilled water.
Q:Why is the water pump water hose leaking on a 2002 bmw 745li ?
it is either a loose clamp or a bad hose
Q:Cost to replace water pump?
It certainly needs fixing before you go any where or you could wreck the entire engine!
