Are you planning on reupholstering or using slip covers? Covers will be way cheaper. I think that browns and beige go great with green, very relaxing. You can add color in the accessories, golden yellows, red, blue, just about any color you like. Green is the color of nature. How about a mural on the wall? It could open the whole space up. Well, I don't know if this will help you any but I work in an office and spend a lot of time sitting down. It would be nice to have a chair that has adjustable lumbar support, the kind made out of the microfoam like the new mattresses that have been recently marketed - you know the kind that conform to your body. This way if the back of the chair is adjusted to support your upper back, the lumbar is not over looked. Currently, I have only seen office chairs that support one or the other but not both at the same time. Also, current markets have chairs that massage or vibrate. These are extremely costly and who wants to plug in their chair to an electical outlet or recharge its batteries. I am thinking that if there were a way to create a warming or cooling sensation this might assist with the blood circulation and may be relaxing too. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

100% cotton is not a great fabric for upholstery, upholstery fabric is much thicker and tested for durability. Cotton will also absorb a lot of dirt dust and is hard to spot clean. Treating it may temporarily make it more durable.

I think you should leave them as it they are classy without being decorated. But if you feel like you need to decorate them go and find some real thick ribbon at a fabric store and make a sash for them or find a big bow for the chairs and put it on every other one Good Luck

I have found similar chairs called saucer chairs but none of them with an independent base or made of wicker. It is unlikely that the chair collapsed solely based on your weight. Chairs are designed to take compressive forces. They are not designed to be tilted where compressive forces would favour a single leg of the chair. My suspicion is that this chair was subjected to this improper usage either while you were using it or before you were using it. In any case, the chair would have to have been damaged or improperly used in order for it to collapse. The other possibility is that your weight exceeded the maximum allowable load rating of the chair.

This, without argument, is a cool-looking chair, and I'm sure it has some beneficial attributes for certain users. I see you broke the payment down into monthly amounts. That tells me that you would have to finance the cost of the piece. Is that a bad thing? Absolutely not. However, unless you're a person who suffers from back or circulation problems - someone who is otherwise uncomfortable in other chairs - I'd rethink the purchase. I know you probably don't want to hear this, but maybe you need to. (After all, you are on the fence about your decision). There's are huge novelty factor at work here. You THINK you'll use the chair regularly, it'll make you healthier and happier, etc., etc. Often times, that's not the reality. If you truly benefit by this resting position, why not lie on a floor with pillows under your knees? Granted, it's not nearly as glamorous, but think ... really think ... about owning that chair day after day after day. The novelty will more than likely wear off before the payments do.
