Q:Have you used one of those reclining booster feeding chairs rather then a regular high chair? Any recommendations? Do you wish you would have bought a regular high chair instead? Is it okay for my 4 month old?: My sister-in-law had one that reclined a bit and then it would sit upright as well. She loved it and still uses it to this day. Her son is 2 now. I think it would be great for a four month old because regardless what people think they do not sit exactly straight up at four months old and that is when doctors recommend trying to start baby foods. I do prefer a booster chair to the highchair because I got my daughter a high chair and she always prefers to sit in a booster. She likes to be at the table with everyone else. When she was that young though I used a bumbo. It is the suishy seat for babies that can't sit up very well on their own. It worked good too. It is a personal choice but I definitely am a advocate for the booster seat.

Q:I was wondering how to make a simple slip cover for a regular metal folding chair.: For the back of the chair, try a pillowcase on it and see how it fits. What tucks do you have to make? Then try it on the seat. What type cover did you want? A full cover so you don't see the legs? You did not say. I would cut up a sheet, in fact you could use sheets if you do not want to invest in upholstery type fabric. They are washable too. Try a piece on the seat, let it hang to the floor in front, and extend up over the back of the chair until it reaches the floor below. Then you could sew the two backs together till it comes to the seat, stop there. Then you need to sew a piece to each side down to the floor. Then sew up the corners. Hem the bottoms and put a bow or Velcro fastener to the back of the seat corner, or pin it and then sew it, but you have to leave a little room so you can slip it on and off.

Second chair in the first group is good if there are ten of you, not so good if there are only three. Second chair in the second group is probably not all that impressive. You will never like everyone in your band or orchestra. Learn to do your part, make friends with a handful of people and learn everyone else's name. Beyond that, you should keep to yourself and limit conversation to small talk. Spending too much time on relationships with band mates will draw you into the drama, and you will end up making enemies instead. Focus on the music and your own advancement, and you will be much happier with yourself and find it much easier to get along with others.

Have you tried playing with them with a dangly toy or offering them food from your fingers or tossing a crunchie to them? If you offer them a substitute for the safety of the chair that may help - maybe a kitty teepee or even a box with a towel in it where they can hide. They'll come out. They just need time.
