Q:Okay, this is a serious question. When I smell my seat, it straight up smells like farts. I am a clean person and occassionally let one rip (like anyone else), but it seems like my computer chair absorbs the smell.Is this normal? Do all chairs smell like this eventually? How do I get this embarrassing smell out?I find it embarrassing because now that I notice it, I'm not sure if other people who come over and use the computer will notice it to, or if it's just in my mind.And if a fart is just a gas, how come it doesn't just hit the chair and then evaporate away into the air? It makes me think there is more to farts than just gas. Maybe they also contain the elements solids and/or liquids. Please help. This is embarrassing. Perhaps your chair is made of material and is simply absorbing dirt, dust and smells and aromas from just daily living ie ~ perfumes, food smells, cigarette smoke etc.etc.etc. A good way to spritz it up and sanitise it is to go get yourself some pure essential eucalyptus oil from the chemist or local pharmacy. Put a capfull of eucalyptus oil into a spray bottle full of warm water, shake well and spray over the entire surface of your chair and wipe over with a damp cloth or sponge. Eucalyptus oil is a brilliant antibacterial and antiseptic agent and will eliminate all those nasty odors that are bugging you so much? It is also an all natural remedy and contains no chemicals or nasties to irritate sensitive bodies? Caution: Don't use eucalyptus oil if you have high blood pressure or suffer from epilepsy?if either is the case simply substitute for pure essential tea tree oil, which is also a great antibacterial and antiseptic? If you want a great do it your self, check out the thrift stores and then your local fabric store. If it is wood framed you can spray paint it any color or even multi colored. Seat backs and bottoms are very easy to recover, just use the existing fabric as your pattern then staple gun or hot glue.

It's a second empire chair. Second empire style is from the period between 1865 - 1880 but it could also be a reproduction. It kind of looks like a reproduction from the picture but it's hard to tell without seeing it in the flesh so to speak. Value depends on so many things. If there a manufacturer name on the chair, what's the condition, etc. It depends what's making the legs wobbly. It can be dried out wood which shrinks the joints or something else.

Q:I need a chair with 4 legs not 5 and no arms.

Yes... you can still get desk chairs with only 4 legs, and no arms. You can find them at department stores, office supply stores, etc. (OfficeMax, Office Depot, Sam's Club, Staples, Target, WalMart, etc) I will say this much.... a chair with 5 legs is more stable than a 4 leg chair....less likely to tip over. When I have a choice between the two... I get the 5 leg chair. Another option might be to consider a kitchen/dining chair. Happy Shopping

So put it in the same room as your chair and hopefully it should work. Also, reward them with praise and treats when they scratch the scratch posts. This will let them know they are allowed to scratch and will begin to do it more. At first my cats would get scared when I caught them scratching the designated scratching posts. This is because everytime prior that I had caught them scratching (namely my sectional) they got in trouble.
