- Q: My grandmother just purchased a new rug to replace her old carpet. It moves very easily so it was recommended that she buy rug padding and attach it to the floor under the rug. She's worried that it will need to be stapled to the floor and in the event that the rug needs to be lifted/moved in a hurry she wont be able to move the padding, and it could get damaged. So my question, more specificially: Is there another way to apply the padding under the rug without permanently securing it (ie: staples)? Or is there a special rug padding that doesn't need to be stapled? And in your opinion, will this alternative way make the rug just as immovable? Thanks!

- Q: just found out my light turnout rugs from last year to keep my horses protected from the wind and rain as they live out all year but they are kinda stinky as theyv been storred in the yards shed, the writing on the tag has wore away so i cant see what it says about washing them?they are amigo light turnouts.do you wash yours in any particular way? and what do you use to wash them in?
- usually we send our rugs to special rug n carpet washing places, and i think it's really difficult to wash them by yourself , so find a good place and send it .
- Q: What materials does the full carpet have? How to choose a carpet for a large space?
- 1 the material of full blanket: Wool blanket (the price of new wool is suitable for high-grade spaces) chemical fiber blanket (the prices of acrylic fiber and nylon are suitable for the public places)
- Q: I haven't vacuumed my carpet in over 2 months and its really dirty. I know its disgusting but I hate this flat so much and I rarely come here, just to sleep. My room mate has a vacuum but its a standing up one and I hate those which is why I hate doing it plus my room is small and has a lot of stuff in it (huge walldrobe, dressing table, chest of drawers, bedside table, 2 person sofa, storage boxes, 2 chairs). Anyway we have mice and I put down sticky pad things and I found what I think is silverfish on it so I REALLY want to clean it properly now. Should I buy a carpet cleaner? I heard using vinegar but I'm not sure how. How would you go about cleaning it? should I just vacuum it continuously for like 10 minutes lol? And yes I know its gross but I'm really lazy.... don't judge me =/
- I would completely empty the room use a good vacuum to clean it out thoroughly you might want to go over it a few times, if it still seems dirty buy or rent a good carpet cleaner and remember to follow up with a plain water or a low concentrated vinegar solution after shampooing with soap so you do not leave soap residue in the carpet
- Q: if i place a sheet of vinyl over carpet will it tear or anything if i walk over it or do i need something to put under it
- Carpet needs to be pulled and the flooring under prepped as need for vinyl. Any other way will not work. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
- Q: its brand new.. but it smells awful.. like a burnt popcorn/broken vacuum smell.i tried to let it air out for days .. not working.. and its too heavy to bring otuside.. its very light colored.. is it okay to ripe it down with soap and water and a rag?? will the soap do anything to the rug?and is there a better option? to wash it with
- Clarence sure didn't turn out to be a knight in shining armor. I was accused of having sex with a girl in our church baptismal font. It was true, but I still didn't like being accused of it. I lived down the bad reputation through denial and then telling all the Gossipers that it was true. They went around telling everyone that I admitted it, and I was able to say do you really think I would tell THEM that I did it. That pretty much cleared me of all wrong doing, and the girl I was with was releaved and continued to 'spend time' with me after I successfully deflected the narks.
- Q: Great landlord. Don't want to damage beautiful floors. Need to have rug lay flat. In living room. Carpet is thin. needs padding
- A true pad won t really work since it ll bunch up,make it to thick and cause a tripping hazard.. What you should use is a special mat made just for rugs over hardwood. This type allows the rug to stay it place w/o slipping and bunch up, allows the wood to properly breathe and not stain the wood . These are bought any where wood and flooring are sold, just get the kind made for rugs over wood. Since you know your rug size you can get the closest size to your rug. You can even cut these and trim them to fit so the whole rug is covered from below. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
- Q: Hey. Is there any place that I can get fake fur area rugs like alpaca fur or sheepskins. They're so damn comfy but I don't want the real deal, that's cruel. Please don't bother telling me to go to ikea. Thanks for your help.
- in my view, i think of the rug is a splash cheesy-looking. possibly you will desire to locate one it incredibly is sort of extra stylish. additionally, each and every so often there is actual fur jumbled in with pretend fur. They alter it so as that it can not be to any extent further than 10 or 15% of the entire merchandise. So, yeah there is that possibility to buying actual fur against your will.
- Q: i have about 12 rugs for my horse weatherbeeta turnout 600 denier saxon turnout 1200 denier, zilco canvus, two summer rugs and a polar fleece rug he is a thoroughbred and seems to need to be warm. im wondeing how many i have to put on him? and what are the best brands of horse rugs in australia victoria i hope i can get some good answers thanks! =]
- No offense but horses dont even need rugs.. I would say weatherbeeta is the best rug you can get. I dont know all my rugs are weatherbeeta.. Well beens hes a TB I would say put a light weight on him. I know TBs tend to be more suceptiable to cold. This is really your choice and if you think he looks cold bring him in and put him in a stall.. (if their is a stall avaible to him)
- Q: I was painting my nails this morning with bright pink nail varnish and i dropped it and it splashed all over my cream carpet, bed and white draws i have sorted the bed and staws out but the carpet is left!i have tried nail varnish remover but it smudged it! would 1001 work? what else?
- To remove nail polish from carpets, nail polish remover will work but you need to use caution because it can also remove dye from your carpet or upholstery. You can try and bleach your carpet, but only if you have a white carpet. also; You can remove nail polish stain of a fabric, carpets, and counter tops using Motsenbocker's Lift Off #3. We tried it on our quilt an it made the nail polish stain just disappear, like magic! You can purchase it at any hardware store. We purchased it at The Home Depot for about $6.00. It also removes permanent ink and marker stains.
