- usually all sub wiring is the same, youll have the rca cables and antenna wire comming from the radio to the amp, power and ground wire going from amp to battery and ground, and than should have 2 wires coming off each sub to the amp, im guessing thatd be parallel, if you wire in series, so like use 2 wires and splice off to each sub, so 2 wires off the amp powering each sub you would up the ohms and put a too much of a load on the amp, people only wire in series when they have too many subs and not enough outlets on the amp, good luck

- The positive wire should be red and the ground black. You should tap into a wire that is ignition hot. Meaning it only has power when the ignition is on so it won't run down the battery. The easiest one to use would be the accessory port on the fuse panel. The ground needs to go to any good metal part. Find a screw that is in a large metal part, like the dash support, and wire it under the screw.

- stringing wire is generally the best type for wire wrapping. i usually go with 22 gauge wire because it it good for small intricate designs and is easy to work with.

- 8gauge 3 wire means exactly what it says. you will be getting a number 8 cable with 3 wires in it...the best thing to do is dig the trench put the wires in conduit and use 3/0 wire..Will last years longer and you probaly will not have to dig your trench back up in a few years.
- Q: THERMOSTAT WIRING
- Connect the red wire to the R terminal on the t-stat, connect the white wire to the W terminal, connect the green wire to the G terminal and connect the blue wire to the Y terminal on the t-stat. The B terminal is not used on most thermostats. Unfortunately most manufacturers of thermostat wire do not make 4-wire with a yellow wire and instead make it with a blue wire, that is why they don't match up perfectly. The red wire provides 24v power from the furnace, the white wire controls the call for heat from the t-stat, the green wire controls the fan, and the blue wire/yellow terminal controls the air conditioner.

- How do you wire this up? You dont !! Beautifying your car is good to do but I have seen these LED tips and they look terrible. If you want your car to look like a cheap honda civic thats been dressed up, then go ahead and do this. if you still want to do this, use a multimeter across the two cables. run one lead to each wire. If you get a positive voltage when someone else presses the brake then the positive lead you have connected will be the side that is positive. If your voltage is negative, then the wire NOT connected to the positive lead is the positive
- Q: i am installing a headunit, i connected all the wires the match, but i have some left over that i am confused about. from the wires that plug into the radio there is the antenna wire, the remote wire, and the ground with a washer to screw it down, and from the other is set of wires is a solid orange wire, which i have no idea where it goes to. so i connected the remote to the orange wire and didn't hook up the antenna to anything, and bolted down the ground wire. - Assuming the head unit follows the standard color code (there are some cheap Chinese import units that don't) then you should match the head unit wire colors to the harness wire colors. There are a few extra rules, though: -If the harness has a blue wire, and the head unit only has blue/white (no blue), then the blue harness wire should be connected to the blue/white head unit wire. If the harness has a blue/white AND a blue wire, then both of them should be connected to the head unit's blue/white wire. Similarly, if the head unit has only a blue wire and no blue/white, then it should be connected to the blue and the blue/white wires in the harness. -Orange and orange/white can be treated as interchangeable; ie, an orange/white head unit wire can be connected to an orange harness wire, and vice-versa. (If the harness has both an orange and orange/white, though, don't combine them--just use one or the other with the head unit). -Some harnesses have a black/white wire; this can usually be combined with the black ground wire. -Brown and orange/black wires in harnesses should be taped off individually and not connected to anything. -Some harnesses don't have a black ground wire. In this case, the black wire from the head unit will need to be grounded somewhere else. There will usually be wires left over. Make sure each one is insulated so it can't cause a short or contact another wire.
